Your favorite nonsensical logic

A statement a joke a tautology anything having to do with logic that makes absolutely no sense. Or makes particularly good nonsense. I'm legitimately interested.

Stuff that comes to mind are superstitions I’ve held onto all of my life.

If a black cat walks in front of me, I can’t help but wonder if I’ll have bad luck for the rest of the day.
And next Friday, is Friday the 13th…and I’ve been thinking about it already.

So stuff like that, that is really stupid and nonsensical, but somehow…at the time…it seems logical to think that way.

Actually, a spirit world is perfectly logical. Only certain kinds of universes, with certain kinds of laws of physics, are stable. Otherwise, they collapse again. But stability relative to what? To themselves and to other coexisting universes. Spirit worlds and adjacent universes can only exist if they can coexist, harmoniously, with this universe. If such a universe can exist, then it must exist.

If universes can just pop into existence as quantum fluctuations, then shouldn't there exist a large set of universes that are less stable then our universes, but can exist briefly, until they are contradicted by our universe? At which time they collapse back into non-existence?

That is a great one! So true.

"universe that springs into existence" i.e. a universe that already sitting atop of a coiled/contracted spring waiting to be launched.

"pop" into existence is better word i.e. occupied space( universe ) pops/bursts/explodes into existence out of a true, non-occupied space of true nothingness.

Perhaps it was logical for early humans to believe that the Earth extended forever/infinitly, or later on believe same for our solar system, the galaxey, then cluster galaxies, then Universe as a whole, extending forever/infinitely in space, because we that is what we keep observing, just a further and further extension of somethingness, based on human experiences to date.

Maybe if when a human is in a plane and the plane is falling to Earth, if they just jump higher into the air before the plane crashes, they would land ok. That to is probably true, provided they had enough energy to propel them higher at just the correct time.
