You are new precious, but please try to put all of your questions in 1 post. If they occurred after, you could always use edit button.

Atmosphere pressure creates a type of natural lid on the water preventing steam (vapor) from escaping. The lid is not as tight in less pressure (mountains) situations.

I would guess you mean doubling the volume of gas in the same space increasing the pressure of it, because I think if you simply doubled the volume and doubled the space containing it the temperature should stay the same. I think you mean doubled MASS.

If you squeeze the gas though (increasing Mass) you are giving the heated molecules more neighbors to bump into which creates pressure. The Energy comes from squeezing (The work providing the energy). You can heat air simply by increasing pressure. Have you ever felt a bicycle pump getting warm?

Not sure.. Maybe someone else can answer this. Do you count the zeros before the decimal? Four is a guess, One is 2nd guess. I don't know.

You need to be more specific as there are many answers. Television remotes used to use sound to carry the signal to the tv outside of our hearing perception, but now use Infra red for line of sight operation. You start to get into the realm of radio waves when you are controlling objects from a distance. A cell phone could be used to operate a device on the other side of the planet. You have options.

I've done this on a ride and the quarter (not ball) levitated until I hit ground. It could not fall faster than me.

I'm not sure. I think speed should increase imagine spinning a knights mace around your head and then replacing it with a tennis ball.
So there would be less days in a year.

I am unsure about this one.

Are they? I would not know. I suppose if it is allowable it is because no other animal or machine can detect smell. If a guilty persons clothes were put in a "Police lineup" and the dog picked them from among other clothing (control group) I can see it being more accepted. This type of experiment would eliminate elements of chance the greater the size of control group.
