Let's look at this "Shroud of Turin"

Can we tell how big this mans Penis was based on this?

No. He is obviously covering his genital area with his Ape like arms.

    NOW TRY THIS ...

Lie in bed and comfortably cover your genitals with your hands (as in picture above). Does this feel like a natural resting position? No.

Men did not have Ape like Arms 2000 years ago, so why is the bozo portrayed in "The Shroud of Turin" so deformed?

Painting shrouds can give the same effect with xray tech, etc.

    so .....

If you can comfortably lie in that position then you are a freak, but if you cannot then here is a valid reason for dismissing this ancient PAINTING as debunked.

    Simple.

Possibly Leonardo used the body of an ape to make the photographic image.
He would have been better off inventing photography 300 years before anyone else,
    but instead he made this.

Complete nonsense. You are obviously ignorant of the normal range of human body proportions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_proportions#Basics_of_human_proportions

    Educate yourself.

No, those are well within the normal range of human body proportions.

What does 'lying comfortably' got to do with anything? The person portrayed on the shroud is dead. Either he was quite comfortable enough (being dead) or his physical comfort was of no consequence (again for the same reason - he was dead). Then there is the possibility that the shroud is a hoax, and therefore there is no one involved to be comfortable or not.

The Shroud of Turin is known to be a forgery from the middle ages.

    @ Syne,

Your link showed the EXACT Vitruvian man drawing I myself had posted in the Opening post, and did not mention why a mans arms could be so ape like.

Maybe you know ape like humans who can contort their arms into the depicted pose of the shroud, but they would be freaks.

Your "Warning in post 3 is a joke and makes me think you are more of a moron than I already did. I was referencing how "convenient" it is that the shroud was designed to phase it down from obscene.

I can put stuff in red also...

Whats wrong with discussing the fact this Jesus character had a penis. It is one of the reasons we know he is not a god (if he ever existed) and is totally worthy of the religion forum. Joseph must have had a very tiny penis if he could not even break Mary's Hymen***. Maybe we should start a thread on it.

Maybe we should move all religious talk to the biology section though to avoid stupid comments from the moderator.

Show a single person with disfigured arms as in the shroud and I will accept your view a bit more, but they would still be a freak. A normal person has to keep their arms totally straight to cover their genitals and yet the shroud not only has them bent but has one hand extend a hands length beyond this. His wrist covers the genital area.

*** I will explain this one in advance.. It is referencing the Virgin Birth bull. Maybe explaining things as if to a wee child will stop your "red " comments.

    @ Spidergoat,

Yeah. I was just showing proof. It is not an accepted forgery by many still.

    @ Captain Kremmen,

Are you suggesting Leonardo made the shroud. The shroud has eyebrows.. (Mona Lisa Reference because she has no eyebrows).

The shroud was likely an oxidized painting whos colours have long since faded and chipped away.

    7 day break for kwhilborn.

While talking about genitals is great fun to ten year olds, it is inappropriate to discuss penis size or breaking hymens in the Religion subforum. These typically only serve as inflammatory in discussions of religion, and this particular use is not warranted by the supposed reason of discussing the avoidance of obscenity.

Seeing as another moderator has taken the liberty to permanently ban kwhilborn, I am closing this thread. Further sock puppets can try to post elsewhere.
