I wonder if we could think about 200 years from now with space ships and the Lot and a society that produces high end stuff... If so, can we do it with 160 broken up coontries and massive political issues and these countries that want to make new government that suck the tax dollars to live on? Something to think....
Somehow I see our future being more cyberpunkish, though I'm sure we will start traveling to other planets, and from what I've heard they have found a number of earth like planets that might be livable.
At one time, a flint arrowhead was "high end stuff". It's hard to imagine what high end stuff will be like in 20 years, much less 200 years. Twenty years ago (1994) there was no Internet to speak of, few cell phones. Twenty years from now, our technology will seem unimaginably primitive.
I have often wondered about technology starting to approach some limit. Will our advances in technology plot like the right hand side of y = x^2 or like an asymptote to some horizontal line?
The coming age of autobots and cyber controlled automatons and artificial intelligence in everything will be the future.
Just a thought...we have some ideas to improve Interstellar Services...that can provide better expansion of our Industrial Growth and provide new capabilities....that is what I think... The value will be like Plasma Technology except the energy is all over that we need to collect from external sources and use for travel. I am not sure, he name you want to imply - some say vacuum state of energy or some such name...but it provides a method to move from point A to Point B in light years yet you will not age while inside. It is a transport in space-time. I am not sure, I am saying it correctly...
