http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/01/29/future-of-sex-podcast_n_6569838.html The podcast above is whare i got the idea.!!! How you vote is private.!!! I say wit-in 20 years it will be as acceptable an common as the vibrator is today.!!!
There was this photo series, reported on Huffington Post, about men (and some women) and their sex dolls (warning, some may find the images disturbing or not safe for work - they are not pornographic, but just.. weird).. So I would think there is a market out there for them. Japan has certainly taken it to a whole new level. I think the people who would be interested in artificial sexual ermm.. however people wish to call them, would not care about things like smell.
I hadnt thout about until Spidergoat brout it up... but i thank odors woud be very important... an the manufacture who set themself apart by offerin the most accurate odors woud lead the pack.!!! An then of course "tastes" woud also be a good sellin pont.!!!
Yes but you are ignoring the fact that men and women who have sex with sex dolls and who consider them to be their 'mate' or even spouse, do not care about taste or smell. If you are aiming such dolls or robots to the general market, then perhaps, the finer tactile points may come into play. But they are not aiming it at the general population, but to particular groups within each population who are attracted to having sex with something that is artificial. There is a virtual sub-culture that has arisen around these..
Of course ther will be a variety to suite many peoples needs/wants... but the issue is... do you thank these sex robots will become as popular as vibrators are today.??? To me... the more realistic it coud be built an programmed... the beter.!!!
Well in some parts of the world, they are already exceptionally popular. As they become more realistic, I don't see how or why they would not be as popular for men and women. The only thing I could see affecting its popularity would be the cost of purchasing one. Also, vibrators have a particularly niche market. They are less obvious than a giant sex robot. Sex robots have a different market altogether. And I am sure the ones who dress their sex dolls up for family photos with Mum and Dad will agree with you.
Yeah bein rich has its privileges... but mayb the poor will be able to afford one that has been returned... an still get a full warranty/90 day return policy.!!! You are a visionary... an yes... like women can now openly talk about ther vibrators wit-out bein slut-shamed as much... realistic robots will one day be thout of as part of the family wit-out embrassment.!!!
Speaking of the high costs... That has some creepy "Jeffrey Dahmer" -like resonances, in terms of some males choosing to go a cheaper route with just the robot head. Still, much better for a parent to open her son's closet and find an artificial head staring at her on a shelf (that maybe even wants to talk), than encountering the natural kind resting silently in a refrigerator. King Of The Hill: "[...] Luanne brings home a beautician school practice head that she will need for her final exam. Bobby is instantly drawn to the head, and stares at it with rapt wonder. [...] Bobby practices with the dummy head for so long that he grows comfortable with [...]" --White Plastic Female, episode Doctor Who - "[...] it is revealed that the Doctor was able to use his sonic screwdriver to keep [...] Ursula's face alive in a piece of paving stone that Elton keeps in his room. Elton explains that he and Ursula have an unconventional relationship and even have a love life." --Love & Monsters episode
Lordy Lord... todays kids (shakes headPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!)... but i can always count on C C to find the positive in a creepy situation Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! BTW--you'r post reminds me of when i was in a wheel-chair an found a arm in the creek behind the traler-cort... an then the dam police dog found it whare i had it hid in the freezer.!!!
That's just too darn close to the nightmare I had last night. We heard some racket outside and discovered a decomposing zombie that had fallen face-first into the dog's water bowl. For some reason the thing could not get upright again -- it just kept thrashing around on the ground like that. It was actually the stress of the argument which hubby and I were having over whether or not we should call the police, or just bury the thing somewhere, that caused me to wake up. Rather than the sight of a reanimated corpse which had stumbled into the backyard. I blame all those horror comics, magazines, novels, etc, my brother left lying around the house back in our school days. His science fiction stuff, OTOH, occasionally had some redeeming inspirational value.
In the past, I routinely had a lot of those circa 5:00 AM (including sleep paralysis events that occurred a bit later on the weekends]. Nowadays, like that one, it's almost always the mundane type of dream where my avatar is clueless that the external environment is a virtual reality (her memories are sporadically revised to where most inconsistencies rarely trigger alarm bells). There are scattered moments where an epiphany halfway flickers in, but quickly fades before any control can be established. Some of these common dreams still border on being as finely detailed and brightly colored as the bygone lucid ones, though. Back in their heyday, I'd test a lucid dream to the limit by running through the interconnected rooms of what seemed like an infinite building. Somehow my brain rapidly assembled scenes of different people and parties / activities transpiring in each room as I raced within a few seconds through the doors of one to the next. Heck, why wait on the future when we've had our own built-in "Matrix" situation for millennia?
I often feel myself simultaneously imagining a scene in my dream and perceiving it at the same time. The intuitive awareness that I'm creating the dream even as I experience it as "there" never diminishes the realness of the scene or event. And ofcourse what I want the scene to become often doesn't happen like I want, resulting into some surprising new scene I wasn't expecting. Once I was psychokinetically crumbling the pavement of a tennis court and a giant rocket ship emerged from underneath thrusting into the sky! A total shock!
I liked to play "toybox"... whare diferent items woud come flyin out of the box very fast but i coud still see/identify each item... an i coud dive into the ground an travel at blindin speed but i coud still see rocks an tree roots as they zoomed by.!!! Flyin type dreams was fun... i also liked to bust thangs up... like squeeze 2x4's into splinters.!!! Most of my dreams are perty normal anymore... like last night mom an dad was alive an the tiny bit of conversation we had was nuthin special.!!! My favort dream from many years ago was when an expressionless black-haired pale-faced red-lipped woman began floatin toward me... i was backin up... throwin punches to the gut an stabbed her wit a big 2 pronged fork but she kep a comin until i was backed up to the wall... i then lunged forward an took a big bite at her face... an to my surprise she seemed stunned an stopped movin toward me... then i woke up from the dog makin noise pushin on the door needin to go pee.!!! I sure woud liked to have finished that dream.!!!
Sounds almost like an Earth-spawned, evil cousin opposite of the floating Green Lady who had a crush on Dr. Smith. The Church of Scientology tried to turn Vitina Marcus herself to the DarkSide decades later, but failed. http://www.8newsnow.com/story/22580399/former-actress-decries-scientology-recruitment-calls
