I just came across this video.

Evidence The Titanic Was Sunk on Purpose

They do make a good case. I'm going to sit on the fence for now though.

Check out what is said about the portholes at the 10:00 time mark. Some good points are made at the 47:46 time mark too. Their info about the number on the propeller, the portholes, etc has to be verified I suppose. If it turns out to be true, it closes the whole case.

The part that really got me wondering is the claim that the letters M and P can be seen at the stern of the wreck. Check it out at the 49:57 time mark.

This video seems to show something different than the other.

It looks like there has been some video doctoring somewhere as I can't find the M or the P in the above video.

Conspiracy theories have been going around for many decades about this disaster and others as well. Can't people get over it and move on with their lives instead of bringing up more crap about what might have happened or could have happened? To much wasted time and even if it were true what would be the sense of proving it, just more time and money spent over nothing.

It's only 113 years ago. How does that equate to many decades.

The conspiracy theory is rather dumb, though.

well. Kristoffer. 113 years = 11.3 decades. if you had 11.3 heart attacks. you would say you had many heart attacks

but. Kristoffer. since "Titanic sank 400 miles south of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland in the early morning (2:20 a.m.) on April 15,1912 " http://www.answers.com/Q/What_was_the_date_the_titanic_sank

well. 103 years = 10.3 decades. still many decades.

why. Kristoffer. is rather dumb , though.?.
My granpa. in fiftys or sixty'es. before enternet. could hearsay was captains of industry did it.
    granpa. not dumb.

why. you say rather dumb , though.?. cause 1912 - 2015 = 113 years.?. not rather dumb , though. ?.

Insights into the Personalities of Conspiracy Theorists
Psychologists find that distrust of authority and low agreeableness are among factors underlying the willingness to believe

Conspiracy theories and scientific theories attempt to explain the world around us. Both apply a filter of logic to the complexity of the universe, thereby transforming randomness into reason. Yet these two theoretical breeds differ in important ways. Scientific theories, by definition, must be falsifiable. That is, they must make reliable predictions about the world; and if those predictions turn out to be incorrect, the theory can be declared false. Conspiracy theories, on the other hand, are tough to disprove. Their proponents can make the theories increasingly elaborate to accommodate new observations; and, ultimately, any information contradicting a conspiracy theory can be answered with, “Well sure, that’s what they want you to think.”

Despite their unfalsifiable nature, conspiracy theories attract significant followings. Not all theorists, it seems, hold their “truths” to the standards of conventional science. And scientists are beginning to understand the types of personalities that buy into more extreme and unlikely theories. Research reveals that conspiracy theorists tend to share a core set of traits, regardless of their conspiracy of choice. Low self-esteem, for example, may characterize both those who believe that Paul McCartney died in 1966 and those who think that Britain’s royal family consists of reptilian aliens.

Did NASA fake the moon landing?
Was 9/11 a government cover up conspiracy?
Did Elvis really leave the building?
Is the government hiding Martians in Area 51?
    Is global warming a hoax?
Was the JFK assassination version, not as we are taught to believe but another conspiracy?
The obvious answers to these questions is no, yet we have people from all walks of life, including the odd scientist, that claim one or more of the above official version of events is purposely misconstrued to create something far more sinister.
Some conspiracy theorists are paranoid and delusional and that has been supported by medical opinions and data....
Not all though can be summarily dismissed as the views of the lunatic fringe, as some also just plain have a political agenda.

All though to a certain extent, they all share an abnormally exaggerated sense of powerlessness and uselessness and a lack of control. At the same time the same people will probably more than not, have a fanatically distrust of mainstream accepted science, and as such are conditioned to believe whatever distorted picture that supports this paranoid distrust of everything and everybody.
This is the first time though I have heard of any Titanic conspiracy.
My verdict? Just as stupid as the rest.

Maybe the crew of the Titanic were just really REALLY big fans of Morgan Robertson.

If the evidence they present is so solid, why haven't we all heard about this video and its makers?

Is that because the grand conspiracy is still going on 100 years later?

It's good not to have a naive willingness to believe, but an a priori incredulity is as fallacious as a naive willingness to believe. If you people are so sure this is BS, why don't you analyze some of the proof offered in the video and say why it's BS?

As I said in post #1 the two sets of footage seem to be different. I can't find the the frame that has the M and the P that are in the conspiracy video in the rebuttal video. Maybe I missed it. Does anyone see it?

Maybe one of the two sets of footage has been doctored. If one of them has been doctored, which one?

Let's have a discussion of the actual evidence.

    Give me a break.

Wow, someone does believe that stuff! What else do you believe?

Do you think Elvis is still alive?
Do you believe in Bigfoot, ghosts and werewolves?
Do you think that the Kennedy assassination was "covered up?"
Do you believe that yoga is really satanic worship?
Do you think that US airliners spew mind-altering chemtrails?
Do you think Obama has a weather-control machine that he manufactures tornadoes with, to distract people from his evil plans?
That the government created HIV? That alien lizards control our government?

    Curious how far this extends.
