Privacy is not the only concern surrounding Facebook Android app. Users have long complained about performance issues and it sucking up battery.
Couple of them found that when the Facebook and Facebook Messenger apps were uninstalled, other apps on the smartphone launched 15% faster. Simple swapping to app alternative called Metal saved 20% of battery life.

I don't have it installed, but when checking found I have 37.1MB of Qualcomm Atheros Client Installation Program installed. I have no idea what it does but as it seem to have installed something on 2/26/2013 I suspect it can now be removed to free 37.1MB

    Is that correct?

Also I have lollipop installed and it avoids tell how much space it is using. I have no idea what it is. Do you think I can safely uninstall it?

A google search on lollipop let Wikipedia tell me:
"Android Lollipop is a version of the Android mobile operating system developed by Google, spanning versions between 5.0 and 5.1.1. ..."

I am using only a lap top - nothing mobil, or Android, I think.

Billy T, the Qualcomm Atheros Client Installation Program is utilized by the hardware on your laptop.
Qualcomm Atheros provides several types of WLAN/WiFI, LAN and Bluetooth adapters for computers.
If you check in your Control Panel/Device Manager/Network Adapters, you will most likely find that a Qualcom Atheros chip is used for Lan, wifi etc...
The Qualcomm Atheros Client Installation Program is used to install/update the drivers for the Qualcom Atheros chips in your laptop.

As far as "Lollipop", well...if you have an Android Phone or other Android device that you may have connected to your laptop at some time in the past, that may be how it got "installed".

Personally, I never use google.com, Google Chrome or anything Google, simply because it covertly installs too much "TRASH".

I use http://www.dogpile.com/ instead of google for everyday "searches".

    Later.
