In reflection I think he really wanted a relationship with her and was sortta using me as an agent, if that makes any sence.
She and he were into similar stuff.
Anyways they never got together which is a pity really now that I think about it they would have been good for each other.
Anyways I have some appreciation how you could regard the cards and so I would not argue about what may be taking place.
As I have said my friend sincerely believed he helped people and I suspect his clients felt that way.
It may be like religion some folk need something to make them feel special and I have often thought the reason why I make friends easily is because I somehow make them feel special or at least good about themselves.
The only reason I seem to get on very well with ladies is because they sence my respect for them as people I dont think its special but I notice at the pub when in a group the guys over talk the girls.
Just listening probably is somewhat rare.

No, first you need to show that there is something to it, and something more than just your anecdotes.

If you wish to believe they work, that it is something more than just the art of cold reading or other such tricks, that is entirely up to you.
You won't be swayed, and I have no intention of trying to sway you out of your belief. It does, after all, take people like you to keep them in business.

The context being supplied by the (gullible) subject.

"You will meet a tall, dark stranger."
"Oh, goodie. George is tall - well, over five feet. And he's dark - well, dark blond. And he's strange - I ought to know; I've known him for years."

If you do any research into Trump's biography, he was born and raised in Queens, NY, which is a middle class town. His dad, was a developer in construction, which is a blue collar industry. When Trump became older, and wanted to start his own business, he had the ambition to do construction projects in Manhattan, which is more white collar and old money. His father told him to stay in Queens, since he knew those in power in Manhattan, will not make it easy on him, since he is an outsider. But the young Trump decided to try anyway.

Trump was never really accepted in the high society of Manhattan. As he got rich, he could muscle his way based on new wealth, but he was considered a low life from Queens. Because he was never really a full member of the inner circle, Trump found his close human connections to the blue collar workers who worked on his projects. These are the people his children also grew up with as they accompanied him on his projects. Trump talks like these people, not like the Ivy league snobs; pretentious. A blue collar worker will swear, can be crude and rude, will fight, but he will also break his back and sacrifice, to support their family and friends.

The liberal snobs from the Ivy League and media, treat Trump like he is a low life from Queens, and not one of the beautiful people from Manhattan. Deep down this resonates with the hard working blue color worker and all those who feel put down by the snobs of leadership. The snobs don't understand they are replaceable, since entertainers are easy to find. The snobs can't build anything, but are only good at talking and pretense. When they try to build things, like ObamaCare it is a disaster. . You need the down to earth people of make it work.

No, clearly he was referring to Bill Clinton, who plays the false trummpet saxophone.

However, the famous prophet Matt Groening did indeed predict Trump's win.

You seem to be under the impression the tarot cards are about telling people what they want to hear. Its not. It is literally fortune telling and that means good, bad or indifferent.

If you ask about another's feelings, thoughts or intentions they may not be what you believed or hoped as well as future outcomes may not be either just as with any question regarding any scenario one may ask about whether its relationships, job, health, or future events etc.

No. How about this shocker: I dont believe your delusional bs and assumptions about tarot cards or divination until you honestly try it out for yourself and that doesnt mean a one time halfassed try. Like with anything, really try it and you will notice some interesting and undeniable patterns of truth that is obtained through unconventional means.

You can believe its woo but i have tested it for years starting as a hard skeptic and what it showed me was not just the realization of tarot cards but questioning the very limited and narrow ignorance and i repeat ignorance and blindspots of what is considered mainstream reality or truth. In other words, it (current narrow confines of logic as assumed as reality) is on the same level as religion and blind adherence. Now thats irony. Pfft

This is very ironic having this discussion with the so-called 'scientifically' minded on a foremost scientific forum, isnt it??

You are all so sure that I am the gullible one; the naive one; the illogical one; the crank.

You are all so 'amused' looking down condescendingly.

Yes, its very amusing because tarot cards are real and they do work (which raises a host of metaphysical questions about our current understanding of reality) YET its the so-called brainiacs here who are truly the idiots; the naive; the gullible; the ignorant; the cranks. Why? Because you are so sure that nothing works outside of your pre-concieved beliefs of reality.

I am not the one who is missing out here. You all are. Yes, i am having the laugh and i can assure you i will have the last laugh.

Btw, your stupid cliche response tells me you have never even had a tarot reading before. Its just a cliche rhetoric of a response you believe applies or is what constitutes divination and in this case tarot cards.

What most cant wrap their minds around past is the cards are not just made of paper and ink. There is another dimension that is affecting the cards in a 'reading'. It is inconcievable to you to notice or even fathom beyond the literal fact its just a deck of cards with pictures.

That could be construed as a disability or just a lack of a certain type of intelligence or perhaps even a sensory perceptive ability? Hmm..That is quite the paradox we have here but you dont realize it but i do because i know tarot cards are not random..AT ALL. If you actually knew, it should scare the hell out of you for most here or for others open the realization there is a whole avenue of reality you have no idea of how the universe or reality works. You would realize its a new frontier to try to understand how it works and would shake some foundational beliefs or open up questions and not delusional woo to dismiss.

You're correct it is not right to do that.
You make it hard not to be amused with statements like this.
It has nothing to do with preconceived ideas, it has to do with the fact that every study on this magical stuff shows they are false.

Believing in this stuff is fine but you are going to lose everytime if you try to prove scientifically that your belief is real.

I therefore look forward to your peer reviewed paper on the matter.

But who am I kidding. This is the fringe section. Peer reviewed papers and actual scientific rigour don't generally apply here. As long as it is kept unscientific people will be free to believe whatever they want. If it works for you, feel free to believe in it as something other than cold reading, reading body language, and making deliberately vague predictions.
Next you'll be trying to extol the virtues of homeopathy.

Do you think tarot cards can predict exactly when they will be proven to actually predict the future?
