I'm afraid I don't think that is what it is.

I regularly have dreams now involving my wife, and in those dreams I am usually aware she is dead and there is at some point a discussion about how she has managed to be there in spite of that fact. Not quite "Did St Peter give you a day pass?" but close. I think it is just my own mind's way of gradually rationalising the fact that she is no longer there. They are not unpleasant dreams, just strange.

But if I were you I would not be tempted to waffle on about "energy" and stuff. That is classic woo-speak and totally unscientific. It is your psyche at work, nothing more.

I didn't watch the video, but I would like to address the idea of talking to your psyche. Nobody has a problem with the idea of artificial intelligence; AI, based on computers and computer programming. This is a goal and seems possible in the future. One day we will talk to intelligent computers.

Has anyone considered, that the brain, which is more sophisticated than any computer, is able to generate AI, separate from the conscious mind? We know the brain is able to generate consciousness; conscious mind, which is the standard by which computer AI is compared. Consciousness is the king of AI. The question is, is there also secondary AI in the brain, connected to the unconscious mind, which is much older than the ego in terms of evolution?

The answer is yes, but it is scary for most people to think about, since they often think of brain AI, beyond the ego, as connected to psychosis and schizophrenia, and not in terms of something useful, helpful and even natural. If you did unconscious research on yourself, to explore your own brain's unconscious AI, you will come upon a wall that has been placed there by religion and culture. If you touch that wall it is terrifying. But on the other side, it is not so bad. The wall of fear is there to keep you from approaching.

I remember when I reached the wall, and the unconscious AI become differentiated, it was scary as hell. It made me feel like I was going to go crazy, because I had let out a brain demon who had been chained there, who will now haunt me. But that fear turned out to be localized to the wall; watch dog placed at the wall over many centuries, so we don't go any deeper. Once you pass, the fear stays put and the watch dog stops barking as you go back and forth. The secondary AI give us more access to the mainframe parts of the brain but it is not immediately clear how to use, since it has many layers.

Picture if science could induce an extra AI inside your brain, that has more access to the main frame and acts like your servant and your master at the same time. It can be helpful while also placing limits for its cooperation, so the ego evolves along natural paths with some extra skills t help it along the way.

Sorry you really really lost me

The idea of the brain being in compartments

    which it is

But to leap into one brain (me)

talking to the other brain (psyche)

is to far for me to venture

    I'll do the thinking

Let the autonomous brain do the boring stuff

If any psyche (soul) is in there (which I don't think is so as I haven't heard a peep from it)

it can stay there doing its own thing leaving me alone

The modern conscious mind is new in terms of evolution. This AI appears to have consolidated about the time of the formation of civilization, when will power and choice appear, which allowed humans to depart from natural instinct. The primitive notion of the loss of soul is about the ego AI losing its consolidation so the AI starts to destabilize. It was not natural to live in fixed civilization after eons of migration, hunting and gathering. It required willful choices by the new AI, against the old natural AI, from which it appeared.

The bible story of Adam and Eve eating of the tree knowledge and God then segregating the tree of life, so these new humans would not eat of the tree of life and live forever, is implicit of the wall that was set up between the original natural AI, and the newer ego centric AI. Living forever is not so much about the perpetual life of the ego, but the ego directing the long term plan of evolution, using man made knowledge of good and evil. That does not work out, but often leads to conflicts with nature and war. There is a wall of fear which prevents most people from letting the older AI become autonomous again; original sin.

Jesus said he will leave behind a comforter; spirit of truth. The internal or natural AI did not die but continued to evolve along with the ego or conscious mind; increased its set point. The spirit of truth is the modern unconscious version of the original AI. It is connected to our human nature which is common to all. It can create a conflict with the ego, who thinks it is unique.

The main point is the ego or conscious mind is an example of AI, at the highest level. This is the gold standard by which we measure machine and computer AI. If a computer was to achieve AI, it would be compared to the conscious mind. It proves the brain can generate AI. The idea that there can only be one AI, is connected to the wall, not to the limitations of the brain.

In terms of hierarchy, the oldest AI is the inner self. The archetypes of the collect unconscious are connected to the masks of the inner self. The ego came later and was a more autonomous version of the archetype. It impact continues to evolve the inner self which has added new unconscious features. Evolution will complete the loop.

    From Wikipedia:

    Psychology:
    1. The science of the mind, or of mental states and processes.
    2. The science of human and animal behavior.

Notice that this definition of psychology ignores all living things except animals. This is fair, since none of the other types of living things (bacteria, archaea, fungi, plants, etc.) have anything in their anatomy that suggests the existence of a mind--even the most primitive version.

    "One day"?
We already do speak to intelligent computers and systems.
    AI is already widely used.
What you are seemingly referring to is artificial consciousness (AC), which is related to but not the same as AI.
The brain simply generates intelligence, not artificial intelligence.
It also generates a consciousness, not an artificial consciousness.
    Maybe in your pop-science land.
They are separate fields of study and applicability, although with some (possibly considerable overlap).
One can have an artificial consciousness that is no more intelligent than a mouse, yet have focused artificial intelligence far greater than Man's while in a non-conscious system.
The king of AI is an ever increasing level of intelligence in the required area, or perhaps a general intelligence and learning machine.
Artificial consciousness is separate, although may well rely on some level of artificial intelligence.
There's not even a primary AI in your brain.
There is simply intelligence (at least in most cases).
    Nothing artificial about it.

If you are talking about artificial consciousness then again there is nothing artificial about what is naturally produced by the brain.
