Well, someone on another UBB message board told me I might find this place interesting. I guess he was tired of my posts about God, atheism, religion, etc, etc. Hopefully I'll stick around and become a part of this little community. If not, there's always Metacrock's Ezboard.

Sorry if it seemed like a plug, I just thought some people might be interested to know what I was talking about if they never heard of Metacrock before. I'm actually interested in finding a place like this to go and be a regular at, so far I have found only this forum and Metacrock's forum (though admittedly, I haven't been looking very hard).

Anyway, I took a quick peek at the Metacrock site, but didn't find anything there that interested me personally. It mostly seems to be a Christian site, which is great if you're a Christian, I guess (I'm not). Hopefully you'll find someplace on the web to call home where you'll feel comfortable, whether it's ExoSci or another site. The reason why I haven't setteled anywhere is yet is because neither this forum or Metacrock's seem to get enough traffic, and Metacrock's forum is dominated by theists. So far, this place seems ok except for the lack of heavy traffic (which I could help change if I stay here). And it wasn't Metacrock's site that interested me, it was the fact that he had a forum (several for several topics I might add, but his traffic is even slower than this forum's). The reason why I may go and be a regular there is because Metacrock is such a skilled debater. I'll probably go try and find a few more forums before I settle down to any of them. Or maybe I will just stay at the forum I am a regular at and annoy the posters with topics like this to death. Only time will tell.
Welcome to Exoscience. There are about as many atheists here as theists, and about as many pantheists. We favor intellectual discussion here as opposed to post after post of meaningless drivel, but your definition of "meaningless drivel" might not be the same as mine. I am the moderator of this particular forum, which I'm sure you know means that I essentially try to keep the peace. Just to let you know that irony is not dead, I am an atheist. Well, I can go very low on the scale of debating, arguing over the definition of words (which I have been doing a lot, some theists like to claim atheism is a religion, you probably know how it goes), but I don't ever insult people. I'm pretty sure I could find a home here, but I'm not sure if this place suits me. The other place I'm at, while filled with people who either don't care or are so inarticulate that debating with them is meaningless (the forum is called General Insanity), it does get plenty of traffic (about 15-30 times as much as this forum I would guess). Staying here and spreading the word about this place may increase the traffic here to desirable levels. It's just a matter of decisions.
