Yes, it's a bit of a quibble in an informal discussion and there are metaphorical contexts. But living beings literally produce many things: hormones, waste products, spores, etc. They do not produce other species. I don't think it's being overly pedantic to correct that language in a science forum.

modern chinese culture is not a colonial power from my very mild observation.
thus producing as an outward process is more soo a mechanised subjective term based on the context.
statistical signifigance, one would have to show the % of other national identitys that present their identity in a foriegn position.
smaller countrys than china, india, russia, USA, malasia, indonesia have a far greater production of their identity by culturalrepresentation as an innate nature of position.
subjectively speaking in a statistical format.

chemistry & biology have empirical terms to define "produce".
human emotional relativenes defines emotional position as a consequential relationship to cause and effect, subjectively in terms of non measurable observational ethos.

a demonstrated emotional relationship to form a subjective discription of terms of example needs only reference the emotive positon, to then expect a mathamatical association atributed to the ethos,
... it is much like entropy.
such is the dominant human condition.

I don't think someone from Tibet would agree.

There are at least 55 different ethnic groups within modern China(55 officially recognized= many more unrecognized)---including those in Tibet.

If we think of China as an homogeneous people; we err.
It seems most likely that there were many episodes of Chinese expansion, and they all seem to have met the same fate= it was too large and thereby ungovernable(without modern technology?).

was and mostly still is defined by ability to kill others to use as an example to force the majority to obey your rules.

china has had civil wars for many centuries.
looking at the age of the computer is just a blink in time.
only 1 generation ago the UK was at war with china.
japan was at war with china
us were at war with japan
germany was at war with everyone
russia was at war with its self(the USA still is)
    etc etc...

    miss-spoke
    miss-step
    miss-colonalised
    corporatised facist language ...

    Entirely missing the point.

Bacteria are produced in our bodies in a similar way that immigrants are produced from China.

The bacteria breed themselves, similar to Chinese people who breed themselves.

Details of the specific examples aside, saying the container produces the contents of itself is a perfectly valid definition of the word produce.

i am not missing the point, i am luminating a concept of reader interpretation based on the subject of cultures being defined in a non localised manner.
my little poem on the end is not directed at you
it is me theming of interpretation of the concepts around media ideologies that present concepts of post event re-construction to moralise them in past tense.

Ah, but today, simple reconsideration of multipathic moralization tells us that the essence of the media is complexity. We are at a crossroads of ideology and dogma, and are in the midst of a magical deepening of reconstructive morphologies that will manifest as the inherent sublime; the eschatology of birth, the hermenutics of the latent independent subdependence of all same-kind.
