Yes timojin you are correct.Janus has put it quite succulently and as agreed with what most of us has been telling you. But because I'm a real nice bloke, let me also add another factor...Gravitational perturbations. eg: In a few thousand years the star "Barnard's Star" will be the closest star to our system, deposing Proxima Centauri. This could theoretically have an effect on the obliquity or axial tilt, and obviously this also may have played a part in the distant past. So along with what you were told as far back as in post 3, along with the violence and accretion that was responsible for our solar system, gravitational perturbation/s by another probably stellar size body as per Barnard's Star, would also play a part. Hope that helps. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
river: You have been presented with at least one scientific explanation as to why the Earth is tilted. You reject that explanation, but have offered no reason for your rejection. You cannot honestly claim that science has "no clue", since you are now aware of actual "hard science" that is suggestive of how the tilt occurred. If you continue to make dishonest claims that science has "no clue", when there are viable hypotheses out there that you are aware of, you will receive an official warning for telling lies.
Ah so. Missed that. But that seems unlikely in explaining Terra's tilt - with the planets in more or less the same plane, but varying so widely in their respective axis tilts.
yes, this theory is extremely common, there are not enough evidences to prove it, so i guess we should ignore it and look for some more logical explanation.
