    Do not leave.

1] Your interaction is a valuable asset to SciFo. (I dare say, moreso than most.)

2] It's not really a vote thing. You're allowed to be here and to piss people off, no matter how many don't like it (excepting the mods of course). What if the votes came up 14 Yea and 13 Nay? Would you oblige the 14 and get banned, denying the 13?

3] People who don't want to hear from you have the option of Ignore. That's what it's for. And that means everyone's preferences can be met.

4] There are some really odious people here, but I wouldn't want them to be banned either. In the spirit of "I may not like what you say, but I'll fight to the last for your right to say it."

i wonder if your going to post the real reason behind all this
im sure its all very personal and probably best not put out in the public domain for critiquing your personal development through lifes many trials and tribulations..
however...(a thought for yourself to ask yourself in private) keeping that in mind, where might you consider a starting point to where your now current thought processes have found you ?

something must have driven you down this path
im not going to put words in your mouth.

what ever it is, start working on it.
playing it out as a proxy exterior process of social interaction only detracts from you and from the thing that is really bothering you.
the more energy the exterior action gains, the more it directly undermines your ability to deal with what ever the real issue is.
much like a drug addiction to escape from the issues.
humans have a natural tendency to create escapist processes to deal with difficult things.
    these are tools
be sure your not using a tool as a crutch that will gradually prevent you from being able to walk without assistance.

It just popped out of me, for no specific reason. If I survive the vote, I might post another thread in the Religion section before taking a break.

Personally, I don't care if Bowser goes or stays. (Nothing personal.) But I won't vote because on principal I don't believe in banning people without good cause.

If we're going to vote somebody off the island, we should get to nominate the victim.

    Perhaps
    3 options would've been better?
    1)yea
    2)yay
    3)nay

    .......................
One wonders, would the 2 yea votes then change to option 2?

Wouldn't that be facilitated by a nay vote then?

It's easier to not vote at all - and more explicit to say why.

At least I don't have you on ignore, Bowser. I think you generally mean well, which is more than I can say for many here, even some who's views I agree with.

    ok, neigh
Reminds me of a cowgirl i used to know. She rode me hard and fast into the long dark night. All in all, I was doing quite well until about 2 am when she brought out a little whip(what did she call it?), speak about performance anxiety................

    thats great !
keeping in mind, not all things are for public consumption.
like feeding low fat high carb vitamin rich bread crumbs to toxicly terminally poisoned pigeons
it may make you think you feel better, but it makes no difference to their outcome and you only get blood on your hands from choosing to dig through a pile of dying pigeons to find one alive enough to eat.

learning to show compassion from within as an aspect of self, as opposed to materializing concepts of cultural practice to symbolize caring change the very nature inside your own self to how you deal with evolving aspects of the self.

most people tend to run up against this as a wall and move no further. it ends up having twitches and habits lean against it.

a path well traveled does not make it the better path

why not simply employ someone to come on to the island to be voted off.
isn't that how it normally works ?
unless they strip on camera and have sex with someone else's boyfriend or girlfriend or both at the same time.
then they get to stay until ratings fall again.

    Hey Bowser
See no reason to "Vote you Off" - You wouldn't have made 8,100+ Posts if you were not at ease with Posting here!
Anyways, every time I get asked to Vote or Poll, I am reminded of a quote or adage or whatever -
"If voting made a difference, they wouldn't let us do it."
I tried to find the original source of the quote or whatever and the interweb says it is not Mark Twain(possibly?)
    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/mark-twain-voting-quote/

regardless, Bowser, stick around...cause...heck, with 8,100+ posts...you done got your seat worn in

And you kept saying, "Nay! Nay!" but she thought it was all part of the role-play.
