People like this study actual sites that exist today. If you are not interested in the God of the bible I wouldn't watch it.

What's your point? How does that support SA6's claim?

I would say No, just as you would, and very likely for all of the same reasons you would. But I also doubt that you would dismiss all of the studies that have ever been done in the fields of Geography and Archeology on that same basis. Right? And neither do I.

I really enjoyed watching Stargate back in the day!

If you found a real piece of a Stargate artifact out in the Egyptian desert personally, what if you saw it and touched it, what then?

Would that make you at least think about it a little more?

This is a different kettle of fish, in my mind, from the writings of fiction you refer to, because there is real physical evidence for much of it on the ground, and I can go there and see and touch the evidence for myself. I would only have to buy a plane ticket to get there.

In a sense the Exodus Account can perhaps be thought of like an ancient 3000 year old treasure map that you look down and find uncovered by the wind in the sand, while you are walking along.

You pick it up, and find that it describes a path and location of a Treasure Chest of great value.

At first it could and probably would be best and wise to question it and doubt its authenticity.

Otherwise you could end up spending all of your time and money chasing it, only ever after the wind.

    Is it real?

Is there a real treasure to be found?

    Who drew the Map?

    When was it made?

Are any of the places on the Map real?

What if we start there? Are any of the Places on the Map real Places?

If none of the Places shown on the Map actually exist, wouldn't you perhaps just toss the Map in the Bin right away, or only keep it for a toy for your kids?

But what would you do if you knew exactly where the starting Place on the Map was.

    What then?

Would you spend the money and take the time to go there, because of the value of the Treasure?

What if you decided to go to the first Place on the Map, and you found the next Place on the Map, and then the next after that?

Would you keep going just in case the Treasure is real? Or would you stop? Your choice?

What if you kept going and made it all the way to the Place on the Map where the Treasure was supposed to be.

Would you just go home and decide it wasn't all real at that point?

    Or would you start digging?

    Again your choice!

    What would you do?

That is how I have personally approached and found the Exodus Account in the Bible to be.

I actually cannot view it as fiction because of the evidence that exists on the ground in Saudi Arabia.

This would be an impossible thing for me to do at this point because of what I know.

Does that make any sense, or do you think I am crazy?

At the risk of being needlessly glib, that sounds like a fun story. Like Treasure Island was when I was young.

Do you remember what you say?

"How do they provide this evidence, exactly?" - You.

Yes I said that. What you wrote isn't evidence.

I also liked the modified Treasure Planet movie, myself. Have you ever seen the Titan A.E. movie? Perhaps you would like it?

I skipped through it enough to try and get a quick feel for the film. But I don’t think they really found much, accept maybe for the brimstone, which could be evidence in favor for the account occurring in the general area. Did I miss anything?

The Exodus Account describes specific events, in a specific chronological order, at specific places.

The Sites in Saudi Arabia, often provide evidence for those same specific events, in the same chronological order, at those same specific places.

The Exodus Account, the Geography, and the evidence on the ground fit together like jigsaw puzzle pieces fit together.

In other words, we have What, When, and Where matches between the Account and the Ground. And examples like this can be found over and over again.

There are also, of course, missing pieces.

And some evidence is less reliable or more reliable depending on various factors.

In a few cases there also appears to be a dimension of time in play here, where one piece of evidence from the past appears to relate to other events that occurred in the deeper past, or the future, or both. Some of this evidence reaches through time, over one thousand years into the future, from when it first occurred.

Sounds like a movie, or Stargate episode!

I know and understand that some of this may sound crazy!!!

How do they do that? How do these sites provide documentation of events and coordinate the chronological order? And most importantly, how is it possible to determine that these events are not simply derived from the Bible?

If I go to the Devil's Tower and pick up a brochure from the local UFO shop, it's certainly likely to detail how aliens landed on the far side.

    Because
they read the original book. That's not "further" evidence of the truth of the story; that's merely derivative.

That makes perfect sense. After all, jigsaw puzzles are manufactured to fit together. And nobody mistakes the end result for a real thing.

A 20 year long extensive Geography research study has already been done and published on these Sites by Dr. Glen Fritz.

Dr. Fritz holds a PhD in Environmental Geography.

He has personally been to all of the Exodus Sites, traveling to Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia during his investigation.

He has published two books on the subject of the Exodus.

I have a copy of each of his books.

I do not have either his credentials or his expertise.

His two books, available for your review are...

“The Lost Sea of the Exodus” 352 pages with 180 maps, photos, and illustrations

    And

The Exodus Mysteries: of Midian, Sinai & Jabal al-Lawz-“ 576 pages with 350 maps and images.

    His website is...
    https://ancientexodus.com

I trust that you believe in the scientific method as it is used in Geography?

    Right?

If you are interested, you can always review his books.

I am also happy to share what I know for your review as well, from more of a layman’s perspective.

I became captivated by these Sites about five years ago and have never regretted it. It is a fascinating study that just seems to get deeper and more profound the further I dig into it.

Google Earth is a great tool to get familiar with and use. And I have the Coordinates for quite a bit of it, which I am happy to provide.

So, research it for yourself if you have interest or don’t if you don’t.

Not everyone has an interest in finding Treasure.

    Your Choice!

I am happy to answer questions to the best of my ability, that is really all I can do.

But they don't. There are many sites in the area that coincide vaguely with the Exodus account.

As I suggested earlier, a mountain in Switzerland that resembles Piz Gloria is not evidence that On Her Majesty's Secret Service is true. It may be evidence that the author saw the mountain after the fact or it may just be coincidence - one mountain looks a lot like another.

Please provide specific details of how they don’t.

Pick one Mountain anywhere in the world that has anything remotely like the amount of Evidence for the Exodus that this one has.

Or, if you wish, please read Dr. Fritz’s 2 books and let me know where the flaw in his science is.

    Whichever you prefer.

You're being dishonest. You know very well that your favorite mountain is NOT the only one that scholars point to. The fact is that the Exodus account can NOT be linked to any specific mountain or cleft rock.

But what does it matter? As I have said, the author(s) of the story could have seen the mountain, the rock, etc. AFTER the Exodus took place and just inserted the description into the story. Or they could have made up the whole story out of thin air, using details that they happened to have seen on their travels.

As I have said several times, even if the details in the story are accurate, that doesn't mean there is any truth in the story (see On Her majesty's Secret Service.)

Yes, there certainly are other candidates.

I don’t think you have studied the subject very far.

    Have you?

Far enough to know that there is little or no evidence that the Exodus ever happened.

It certainly doesn’t automatically mean that there is no truth in it either. This is no movie!

Likewise, ambiguous evidence doesn't mean there is no truth in the Cosmic Unicorn either.

But I'd suggest you choose not to believe in it unless sufficient evidence presents itself...
