    Doppler Effect Of Gravitational Field

    Exchemist says no . Post#29

That gravity is not a wavelength .

Then what are Gravity Waves ?

Spacetime is a mathematical fantasy .

Time has no independence of the existence of a physical object . Inotherwords the physical object and movement ( the essence of time , how we define time ) , came before the measurement of this movement , regardless of the mathematical method used .

Now, if you meant "What are gravitational waves?"

They carry information about changes in a gravitational field.
They have a frequency/wavelength which depends on the mechanism which produces them.
The Earth produces gravitational waves due to the fact that it orbits the Sun. ( At a power of ~200 watts. The energy for these waves come at the expense of the Earth's orbital energy and thus causes the Earth to slowly circle in towards the Sun. But not to worry, the Earth's orbital energy is so large that this only amount to a decrease in orbital radius of by an distance of 1 proton radius per day. )
The frequency of these gravitational waves is 1 cycle per year and thus would have a wavelength of 1 light-year.

Gravity, as in the apparent attraction between masses is due to a field, and as such, has no frequency.

The only fantasy here is your fantasy that you have the slightest idea about what you are talking about.

Gravity is weakest of all forces . Therefore so is the field from which gravity originates .

My only criticism of your observations of river, is that you did not highlight it. Here, let me show you.....

So you have no idea how the weakest force in the Universe becomes the dominate force in the Universe .

Maybe it didn't "Begin" maybe if you look at the universe as a watch then all the pieces were precisely form what we have now. Gravity when observed is the invisible glue that holds the whole universe together. Gravity is everywhere and constant. Weakest force? Not really a question, just some tidbit of info some scientists coined. What is this? Super Heroes?

Gravity cannot have a "wavelength" because it is everywhere.

Well put....Also a thread away from river's nonsense here...
    http://www.sciforums.com/threads/tu...gravity-and-the-four-forces-of-nature.163222/
Technically, it is not really a force. As has been observationally evidenced many time [GP-B and frame dragging, gravitational lensing, it is spacetime geometry in the presence of mass/energy.

ps: river is about as real and genuine as our DC comic book Super Heroes!

Gravity is , spacetime geometry which depends on energy and mass presence to exist .

Therefore gravity has a wavelength . Geometry is about shape . ( not the depth of the form of the shape ) .

Yet gravity , in and of its self , by its self , is not a real physical thing .

A wavelength is matter, it is impossible for gravity to have a wavelength because it is everywhere. Any wavelength within gravity would not be gravity it would be a wavelength. Wavelengths live in gravity.

And gravity waves moves outward from the source not inward .

river is trying to become a good person.

People love Super Heroes, tall buildings, trains etc... river loves to shake up the status quo, but trouble makers are always bright.

    What gravity waves?

River, think. I do not know why your mind works the way it does but it does and I like it, but trust what you see. What do you mean to accomplish towards being a good person talking about gravity waves? Designing a space ship?

EDIT: If you are building a space ship, I'm all ears. Virus proof obviously.

The direction of these so called gravity waves , move outward from the source .

Gravity waves are suppose to bring matter inwards , to enlarge the mass of any physical object and volume . But gravity waves move outward from the source .
