Joking aside, these topics usually end up in talking past each other. Sexists aren’t really going to admit that they’re sexist, because they don’t see anything wrong with their world view. Some use the Bible or Qur’an to support their views, some are atheist sexists, some were raised to believe women are second class citizens, and so on.

I wonder how sexists view and treat their moms and sisters, though. Those interactions usually offer a window into a sexist’s mindset. Or if they were raised in a household watching their dad berate their mom. Not always but often, that’s what kick starts sexism in many men. (studies have shown this correlation) It’s learned behavior, at any rate.

 

Like I opined in your "friends/network" thread : It takes all kinds.

Moms and sisters...and the permanent 'scarring' that they often afflict their daughters with is entirely inexcusable.
I witnessed way too much of that behaviour in the military...and just like it seems to be on this Forum, the majority of those men(?) were not Theists either.

Since that was long I'll condense it. The LORD told the Israelites to get vengeance against a people for some religious reason. When the army returned, Moses was angry because they spared the children and women. He told the officers to kill everyone - all the children and most of the women - except for the virgins; the men could keep the virgins for their own 'use.'

So I did the work for you for the first one. For the rest, please go and read that book you are always thumping on and learn what's in it.

OK. To simplify it for you -

If the Lord tells Moses to kill all the men, kill all the children, and kill all the women except for the virgins so his men can rape them - that's a bit sexist, don't you think? Sexism is actually the LEAST of the problems with such a holy commandment, but we can start with that.
