Not sure to understand what you mean. "Sun" has nothing to do here, like Earth would not have anything to do with the observation. The Sun is the name of a particular star like the Earth is the name of a particular planet. Stars and planets are celestial objects. That said, the observations show that at the center of the galaxy, there are stars that are orbiting around something we can not see. This celestial object we can not see is compatible with what we think we know about a black hole at the center of a galaxy. We suppose the stars are orbiting around a black hole. Sometime with other observations, we also see stars being "eated" by black holes. We also have predicted that collapsing black holes product particular gravitational waves. Perhaps we dont know all about this very strange celestial object, but at least the "black hole phenomenom" exists.

in theory yes thats exactly it but also in laws of current theory it must actually go somewhere it cant just magically disappear additionally humans are not 3D observers humans are 3D interactive objects but it is impossible for a human to observe depth of field of an object by seeing it & seeing through it. so in practicality the human reference frame is objectively 2D but humans think in terms of possibly 4 or 5 D
