If we could count it on an infinite number of steps, it would be infinite. But since this is physically improbable, I'd have to say no.

So, how do your circle equations work?

How do any of my equations work? How would classical physics work if infinities were actually real? Take the electron for instance, if you make its radius go to zero, it's self energy would blow up to infinity. So an electron cannot be pointlike, it had to be spatially extended, though very small. If you want to use an integral, simply say there us a very large boundary condition instead of saying an infinity exists. There are no possibilities for physics to use infinities and just get away with them, we've now even moved away from the Singularity theorems, though some professors still use them. Foolishly I think. Infinities in blacks holes. Nope. Just that Quantum physics must not break down so thay we can preserve sine sense of GR

One way to avoid infinities in the black hole came from ideas I had concerning a pre big bang phase. Using the idea of any wavelength, a particle cannot be confined into a space smaller than its own thermal wavelength, so I wasn't just able to talk about phases before the known radiation phase, the same quantum laws hold true for inside a black hole. The black hole became a photon condensate.

I'm later works I applied quantum laws to black holes, modelled in already known theoretical models where gravity acted as the index of refraction. Black holes became like prisms, and a photon could never ever be infinitely bound by its own field as a result, it could approach zero velocity but never quite reach it. I think the name of the scientists who influenced my work was called Satori, but I'll need to look this up again just to clarify.

While I look for ot, if I have to dig it out of my own essay I will, but this popped up in a search which seems very relevant also to optical dynamics. Seems like an important paper at first glance. https://arxiv.org/abs/gr-qc/0107063

The section you need to find is titled gravitational aether. It speaks about reformulating our understanding of the aether as the gravitational field and the dynamic consequences which follows. If light is capable of escaping, as this model would suggest, it means information is always preserved.

Try and not put yourself down like that, just say you're a layman. Besides, as a general rule of thumb, there are no stupid questions, there's only really silly answers. I liked your question about pi, because it's at the root of a general misconception adopted by most mathematicians that infinities exist. A modern physicist will not contend with infinities popping up in their equations. And even if they use them in a general integral equation, the infinity symbol is just some boundary of a number much larger than what can conceivably be counted. This is why infinities don't actually exist, as lovely as the proofs that tend to use them. Nature has a funny way of showing us why they don't exist, take a ground state of a field, it can never reach absolute zero because to do so, it would take an infinite amount of steps. The same rules applies to anything that fundamentally lives in a finite world. The universe for example may look very big, but it has a finite past, and even if we wanted to say it is infinite, it would have to have to expanded an infinite amount of steps already, which I'm any case, it conceivably hasn't.

Here's a thought experiment I designed a while back to show why infinities are concepts that have no physical connection to reality. Say you designed a computer to count to infinity, we might ask how big is the infinity? Truth is we don't need to delve into these weird ideas. All we need to do is accept that someone has created a computer that will count from one infinitely on-wards. When does the computer reach an infinite number?

Any time the observer comes to measure which number the computer has arrived at, will always be itself a finite result. If it's a very large number, say N ^80, given more time you can come back and measure it to be N^81, then given even more time, eventually N^82. The point is, no matter when you decide to observe the results, no matter how long you give the computer to reach certain computations, you'll always measure a finite number. That's why infinity is a concept rather than a physical parameter of science. It's a concept that is not even observable! Which is useless in applied physics, but very appealing to pure mathematicians.

But what if physics is wrong and we don't possess the capability to test by experiment mathematical predictions?

The only satisfaction I can give, with good certainty, is electrodynamics, next even to relativity are some of the best tested and observed results we have of nature. It seems that mathematics is but a tool we use to describe our theories, and to that effect, very successfully. Physics uses Hermitian operators to describe observable quantities, and these matrices are very well understood to hold in all cases which require the experimenter and apparatus - the idea that physics could be limited by mathematics would seem at odds when we still require it as a stringent tool to describe the world around us. It seems though, that instead, certain mathematical ideas are often stretched beyond a point which physics and laws pertaining to it no longer make sense. So there's a delicate balance between the two, and the two equally are inseparable it appears.

This is not to say I haven't had a women lick me, or fantasize about it.

But that seems as if if you're throwing me a curve ball into your personal life.

Boy, the mods have really allowed you to babble on for a while. Usually, sock puppets are dispatched quickly. I'll go ahead and report you just to make sure they are aware. Take care and good luck on your health issues.

.....And it's goodbye from him. Again.

What a load of cobblers. I had thought he might be getting better, but this time he seemed to have slipped back to the worst of his old ways.

They all seem to be out at the moment. We've had several visitations from Dennis Markuze and even a reprise by Spellbound. All we need now is for Theorist to show up again, or The God.
