So let's all be clear, once and for all: MR categorically does NOT claim UFOs are evidence of space aliens... he merely knows UFOs are space aliens who are sometimes "all lit up and obvious to eyewitnesses and pilots".

So that's cleared that up, then.

P1: If the military consider the sightings to be credible, they should be alarmed
P2: The military are not alarmed
C: The military don't consider sightings to be credible.

This is a valid deductive argument: Modus Tollens (for those wondering).
    If X then Y
    Not Y
    Therefore Not X

    Simples, really.

In my post #6273, I've mentioned how I've come to process this.

Thought this was an interesting piece, as the US government seems to be taking UFO sightings a bit more seriously. In the end, there really is no 'bombshell' evidence, but at least they're willing to view the topic with an open mind.

    Good one

Such setting gives you automatic blur and with video automatic shake

    Shake can be set from
Small - UFO looks like having a epilepsy fit to
Large - UFO goes off screen more than remaining on screen

    Sorry wegs

All I found on / in the link you posted was a large mix of garbage

To my mind - It's a puff piece of journalism on a level of - How to loose OR gain OR keep same (pick one) weight in (some arbitrary time frame)

    EDIT

The take serious part of Pentagon involvement smells a bit bovine

You don’t need to apologize, I didn’t write it.

The government is aware that the military has been encountering UAP, and it seems that they’re making an effort to determine their origins. That’s not anyone’s opinion, it’s happening.

Just because UAP’s (that are worth evaluating) are unexplained, doesn’t mean they’re not real.

Below is an account of a uap sighting occurring near Levelland Texas in November of 1957. It is persuasive in two respects: it was seen and was reported by a number of eyewitnesses driving that night. And it caused many, up to 10, of the engines of the cars/trucks to shut off when it was encountered. My layman's analysis concludes that this is an authentic uap that was witnessed that night. The suggestion by the US Air Force that it was ball lightning does not ring true as ball lightning is usually much smaller and only lasts for a few seconds. The sightings and reports of this object occurred over about 2 hours.

"Two ufologistsJames E. McDonald and J. Allen Hynek – disputed the Air Force ball lightning/electrical storm explanation. Both men argued that there was no electrical storm in the area when the sightings occurred. In testimony before a committee of the US House of Representatives in 1968, McDonald said that "One famous [UFO] case was at Levelland, Texas...ten vehicles were stopped within a short area, all independently in a 2-hour period. There was no lightning or thunder storm, and only a trace of rain."--- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levelland_UFO_case

What do you think it was?

The suggestion by the military that the thing parked in front of my house was a firetruck does not ring true as firetrucks are usually much more red and noisy. My analysis concludes that it is instead something utterly unknown.

“Ball lightning” was mentioned in the video as a possibility. Basically, it is a rare kind of lightning that takes the form of a moving globe. What? That’s amazing.

Since ball lightning is rare but possible, I’ll go with that as likely what happened.

After watching this I'm convinced it's either some weather phenomena, something that the military is involved in or Jesus's second coming. What else can it be? Most of the evidence points toward Jesus.

Lots of conflicting information about the facts of this case.

"...the Air Force found only three persons who had witnessed the 'blue light'..."
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levelland_UFO_case#U.S._Air_Force_investigation

Ten vehicles, yet only three witnesses?

"...conditions were ideal for the formation of ball lightning. For several days the area had been experiencing freak weather, and on the night in question had been visited by rain, thunderstorms and lightning."
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levelland_UFO_case#U.S._Air_Force_investigation

So, "no lightning or thunder storm" yet "thunderstorms and lightning"?

"During the night of November 2–3, the Levelland police department received a total of 15 UFO-related reports, and Officer Fowler noted that "everybody who called was very excited...."

"...Hynek wrote that "as the person responsible for the tracking of the new Soviet satellite Sputnik, I was on a virtual around-the-clock duty and was unable to give it any attention whatever. I am not proud today that I hastily concurred in [the Air Force's] evaluation as 'ball lightning' on the basis of information that an electrical storm had been in progress in the Levelland area at the time. This was shown not to be the case. Observers reported overcast and mist but no lightning." Hynek also noted that "had I given it any thought whatsoever, I would soon have recognized the absence of any evidence that ball lightning can stop cars and put out headlights."[1] Ufologists have also argued that the Air Force investigator did not interview nine of the fifteen witnesses, nor were they mentioned in Blue Book's final report on the incident.[6]

Visual estimates of the object say it was oval and around 100 to 200 ft in length and sitting in the road. Ball lightning isn't near that big. Expert in the video says from basketball size to a few feet. They also float in the air and don't sit on the ground.
