So, I’ve noticed something today when posting an emoji from my iPhone in a post on here, not from the options available on SF. I tried a few emojis from my phone and they didn’t “save” to the post, but I posted a ❤️ emoji, and it remained/saved. (see “Quotes to remember” thread)

But, that heart emoji isn’t one of the options on SF, so just curious why some emojis are viewable but others don’t save, from our iPhone options?

Can you have a neutral flavour?

This drink has notice close to bottom about neutral flavour

Would no flavour be same as neutral flavour?

Drinking it certainly is not same as neutral flavour of water

    Any thoughts?

I think so; just word play with the product.

Liquid aluminum. I don't sprinkle an aluminum condiment like salt or pepper over food. And I dunno about a liquid form. It would be hot so, I'd have to do an experiment and see if that would be a factor.

Where has free thought gone? It seems that bullying to be right or whatever is often times, deemed a victory. It’s one thing if you’re discussing facts. Facts are facts. But if you’re sharing opinions, what happened to polite discourse, learning from others, and not bullying into submission, those around you?

Not directed at anyone here, just thinking out loud, in general.

I suspect a lot of bullying and abuse online springs out of the nature of users to behave badly without consequences. Often called "keyboard courage" many use the internet and particularly online forums as outlets for getting away with conduct they can't get away with in real life. But that is no excuse. Abuse is abuse whether it in person or online.

This deserves a million “likes.” So true. So did Aristotle and Socrates have haters back then? I wonder. Probably. Logic would suggest that every era has had its share of problems when it comes to philosophy, but I don’t know.

The internet has shined a spot light on it though, making it glaringly obvious that people would rather be right, that heard and understood. Agreement doesn’t mean anyone actually heard you.

Bullying you to agree with me, wouldn’t make me feel better. I’d rather you listen and disagree, and share why, than submit to my position.

Typical rules on these boards are no personal attacks. I'm not sure what you're deeming abusive behavior. I understand it's not about me, but still ...
    I'm curious.

After arriving at another artistic array, aa arbiter arrived as a association assigned affiliate art apprentice. Baffled by the booths bogus bogarding boss, I became biligerant because of the bosses bossiness. Cautionary caretakers came cautiously creating cinematic correspondence creatively, which caused me to appear to be a criminal. Deemed to have a detention worthy demeanor, I was detained by a deputy from the Department of Diliberation's of the Dekota's, effectively existing me from the festival to the ground ... In the parking lot.

This picture was posted with a news story that three areas off the English coast are going to get ''the strictest possible environmental protections''.
It seems to me these crabs are giving the news a high-five.

    REDACTED

Do you think , China, would ever supplement such laws if they were productive?

I'm not sure where you're coming from beery.
Do you mean China making such ''protected areas'' so as to keep the westerners out of the China seas?
I think you can still sail over these areas, but you must not fish, dump or disturb the sea floor.

I've heard, China, being accused of over fishing; thus, economically -well, what kind of politicians wave the money flag for the present people?

Yes, I'm a little cynical when seeing these types of ''protected areas'' being formed.
It seems like a move to give licence to fish the hell out of the larger unprotected ocean. And that goes for oil / gas exploration too.

The South China seas that China has annexed are military zones with military patrolling them.
china stripped all the coral reefs before they started to dredge them to wipe them out.

You'd have to link some research for such claims.

    Hasn't anyone told you this?

    :EDIT:

    Or, convince us at least.

Socrates complained that (rough quote) "you think I am one of those philosophers that can prove black is white" He was accused of corrupting the youth and sentenced to death.

I believe he committed suicide rather than back down(I think he would have been reprieved if he had "recanted")

So ,yes he had his enemies and they overplayed their hand.

My memory is hazy;I hope that is more or less correct. His defence in his trial was written up in "The Apologia" and is a fairly slim volume.

No idea about Aristotle but it was said of him by some Aussie highbrow that "Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle " so his reputation is not sacrosanct either.

    「This is What It Comes To」, b/w 「Don't Ask」

"It's so funny to still just be casually tweeting like this an hour after deleting a dick-pumping fetish video you thought was the Chinese government enforcing a forced birthing policy."

Think, for a moment, about the fact that anybody, anywhere can actually write that line without being farcical.

    That's it, that's the tweet.

(No, really, you don't want to know.)
