Biblical Giants

Perhaps it would be prudent to define "giant"?
In one posted video, giants found in china had heights of "up to 1.9 meters"(@6 ft 3 inches)
So
Giants walk among us.

Then we have Lee Berger's 7 ft tall heidelbergensis from @ mis 11( a warmer and longer interglacial)

According to the Bible, it's believed that demons and angels did intervene in human history by sleeping with humans and producing offsprings. This could explain the existence of giants that were present throughout history. It's definitely a thought-provoking topic and one that has been debated for a long time.

There is no evidence for giants other than humans with a growth hormone defect. Neanderthals were shorter. There was a huge 10 foot tall bipedal ape in South Asia, size extrapolated by the size of it's teeth.

There were very small people like 3 feet tall in Indonesia on the island of Flores, we found their remains.

I think that one could argue that in ancient times there was what once was believed by many to be tangible physical evidence that giants had once populated the earth. This evidence was the bones of large extinct creatures like mammoths and even dinosaurs that they occasionally dug up. The more scholarly Greeks and Romans placed these bones in museums and tried to reconstruct what kind of creatures they once had been, not unlike what paleontologists in modern times do.

The less scholarly figured 'giant bones = ancient giants' and invented all kinds of myths and narratives to (supposedly) explain what they were and what had happened to them.

The Book of Enoch deals extensively with the Nephilim. While it's not canon, it doesn't wholly qualify as fan fiction, either. That passage in Genesis is obviously referencing some well-known part of Hebrew mythos, and BoE elaborates on that.

The Nephilim are ludicrously huge, but if fantastic physical traits and abilities aren't a problem for Marvel Comics, then buffs of ancient literature shouldn't be deterred from rousing celebrations and debates about an _X_ at their fan conventions.
