A man who lives down the street told me a while back that his sister-in-law used to know some people who met a couple at WalMart who said their cousin was at this party in 1978 or 1991 or some time like that, and she overheard somebody telling about a TV show where an army base in Oklahoma or maybe Omaha was bringing in trucks carrying aliens disguised as regular people, and I guess it was just awful. you guys waste to much time trying to convince someone else that UFO are real. If they can't figure it out will all the video, photographs, and documented cases from pilots and etc they never will. We need to focus on they things below: 1) How can we get better video data. 2) How can we access the Nasa video archives. Based on the clips they have released dating from present shuttle missions back to the moon landings they have tons of good data. 3) How can we make contact. I don't think Seti will ever work. The frequencies they scan for are far to slow for real-time communication in space. There is a 9sec light delay between the sun and the earth, what ever they use has to travel faster in order to communicate over long distance. These are just a few of the things we should be working on. I think I figured out why we receive so much activity. The closes sun to our solar system is between 6 and 10 light years away. That means we are they only resource in this part of our galaxy. We have a large quantity of liquid water and abundant life. Earth is perfect way station. One other thing, I watched a documentary on the cold war and it showed that we new Russia did not have more nukes than we did back in 60's. This was confirmed by satellite photo's. They CIA kept the ruse up so they could get more money for there budget. They CIA did not worry about a nuke attack from the soviets because we would crush them. Based on this information it means they Star wars project was a cover story. They military developed the project specifically to try and shoot down UFO's. This can be seen in Shuttle 48 video clips. I looked at the shuttle 80 video clip multiple times. I noticed 2 things 1 there are a lot of alien craft in that clip. I counted about 8. I also noticed that there are a lot of shots. being fired as well.

I'm sure you realise (he said, giving him the benefit of the doubt) that all radio waves, whatever their frequency, travel at the same speed. And we all know what that is, right? So what kind of communication did you have in mind? - you appear to be recommending a faster one...
SeeKer you are correct it is 8min thanks for the correction. Aloysius if I knew, I would not be typing posts. I would be publishing a scientific journal. I do think there are more particles out there besides the one's we have discovered so far within the electromagnetic spectrum. My guess is it would be something based on gravity.
Wait a minute. You say that UFOs are real. Yes they are. You present to methods of getting a clearer picture of what they are. then you assume they are alien craft, and talk about a way to contact them. We need to identify what they are first, i.e. aliens, psychic phenomena, gov test vehicle, etc and any signal seti picks up would be millions, if not billions, of years old due to the vast distances between even companion systems in the milky way. Even a light based signal from our closest star would take 1 year to get here, plus one year for our response. Contact across the cosmos via electromagnetic waves is not currently or concieveably possible
Corp. Hudson: I believe it's 4.5 light-years to Alpha Centaury, not 1 light year? But SETI is not looking so much for communication, as for a beacon (ala Contact). That is, they are hoping that some intelligent civilization is sending out invitations to fledgling intelligences, whose technology is still too primitive to pick up any signals other than the electro-magnetic. Of course such hopes constitute merely a wild guess, and I wouldn't put so much money down for such a questionable line of investigation. Thus, I am perfectly happy with the fact that SETI is not operated on tax dollars. ------------------ I am; therefore I think.
PlanetX: Yup, if any of us knew THAT, we wouldn't be HERE -- that's for sure. At the risk of seeming to be a nit-pick, I have to say that the elementary particles so far discovered are not regarded in any meaningful sense as "belonging to the electromagnetic spectrum". And this includes the wily and elusive graviton, whose existence will perhaps be first be recorded in 2002, when LIGOS comes on line...they got their mode cleaner working this month! hi, I am new to this message board so I haven't had a chance to read all these messages (though I have read a few) but is intriging to I that you would belive that aliens would go straight to politicans, instead of going first to millitary, scientific , or religious organizations... I mean look politians don't have morals on this world and they have very little power, yet generals, religious leaders, and even scientists do have power. And as for the individual (Has absolute). So it would make sense that they would go to these groups first (especially if they had seen any radio waves lately). Yours Zygos

I am new to this discussion. I find it interesting on what people have been discussing here about Aliens, Ufos and Seti. However, I am a skeptic to UFOlology. Lori, I read you statement about being ignorent at young age. I'm 15 years old so would you not consider me young? I am not ignorant since I try to keep my views in general perspective. -------------------------------------- As for Ufos, I do believe in them as I have stated in many other topics, but as for Aliens on Earth, I have to disagree on the matter. first off, I would like to state that the aliens most seen as what we call "Greys." These greys resemble some much like us. Unfortunatly, that plays along with the theory, "Aliens being God." Anyway, I would like to ask how one could possibly think that greys are communicating with the military. It should be obvious that there is no such thing going on. In truth, no alien within our physical galaxy would resemble us in any way. Most likely, aliens would resemble something much different than a humanoid with 2 arms, 2 legs, and a head with 2 eyes. As for Seti, I thought about the reality of interstellar communication a while ago.
