    Warning: Shameless Plug!

Hello, I've been developing a new non-commercial website for creative music making and songwriting called oursongs.org . I've been on these boards for a while, seeing a lot of talented musicians and lyricists on this site and so wanted to openly invite anyone who has any interest in creating music. The focus of the site it to learn from other members about music making and songwriting. And since this is about learning, don't worry about being "good", to post on the site.

It's set up as mainly a set of forums, but there will be more articles in the future. There is a database where you can post links to mp3 versions of your songs, so that other members can check them out and give you advice. I've developed this site to be a source of motivation for myself in regards to music creation, and I hope that others may find the same.

    The actual url is:

    www.oursongs.org

It's free and non-commercial. You don't actually create music on the site (yet at least). It's for people who do music already, and want advice on how to improve their music.

For instance you are recording a song at home on your computer or a four track recorder or whatever else. And then you feel that a certain part of the song isn't quite working for you. You can then post that song (or a part of it) on the web (mp3 format) and then ask for advice from other members on the oursongs board.

    Make sense?
