Buddhist question

    The Buddha often speaks of 'this Dharma ending age'. (eg Surangama Sutra) What did he mean by this?

    This refers to a time when the Dharma is lost, when Buddhism is no longer followed.

    When is this supposed to occur, or is it just an ongoing process?

    It is a prophecy, he wasn't too specific about when it would occur, remember in India they are used to thinking about periods of time in the trillions of years. Most buddhists tend to think that this is the Dharma ending age. You can ask aroud here:
