UPN is going to save Enterprise. They're moving it to Friday nights, the death time slot (This time slot has killed shows like Firefly and Farscape).

For those of you who haven't noticed, this season of Enterprise has been wonderful. T'Pols drug addiction... Her emotion... Her sex with Trip... The Xindi. This season has been good, admit it! You love it and you want more of it!

I've watched a few episodes. Just can't get into it. Every time I see the captain, I just think of Sam Beckett, hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home... I haven't seen much of it this season. I watched a lot of the first season, then kinda drifted away.

I'd have to say Voyager was the best series. More action oriented. TNG was totally a snooze fest. We have some problem, let's go into the holodeck and sort it out. Or maybe a long conversation. DS9 was ok, I didn't like it at first, but it kinda grew on me. The original series was highly action-oriented. The unknown security officers getting killed each time. It's too bad that Shatner's over-acting made it so comical most of the time. That was part of the charm though. The best movie was Star Trek II. With Shatner and Montalban dueling it out to see who could ham it up more. Should have thrown in Charleton Heston, too. Really hiked up the over-acting quotient.

The thing about Enterprise is that they keep introducing aliens that don't exist in the later times. Or at least they aren't active. A lot of the technology seems too advanced sometimes, too. They've had some time traveling episodes too, ain't it? I know they've done past traveling, but I think I caught parts of some dealing with future aliens sharing technology or something. Seems like cheating.

Has Al from Quantum Leap ever guest starred? That'd be weird, I bet.

invert, you're forgetting the war with the Dominion in DS9. That made that show worth watching!

And I must admit I can relate to that first paragraph...I just keep expecting Al to walk through the wall onto the bridge

I did say DS9 grew on me. I think what turned me off at the start was that it wasn't a starship. Just a lousy space station. But after watching for awhile, it turned out to be good. It was a lot grittier than the others. Those crazy Bejoran terrorists. And Quark really fleshed out the Pherengi(sp?) in that series. I haven't seen a large segment of them. So I don't know the full story of the Dominion War. I did catch a few of them though. I remember the understanding of politics beyond the wormhole was constantly shifting. How did the series end, anyway? Did whats-his-nutz (the shapechanger) end up taking over the Dominion or something?

I think my favorite part of DS9 was Warf and Quark. I always liked Klingon character. So serious that they become comical. And Quark was especially well done. The trill was cool, too. Would be nice if they made a unrated version of Star Trek. I bet her and Warf really got it on in the sack.

Oh yeah, must've skipped that bit, ooer.

It's Bajoran, Ferengi, Worf and the shapeshifter was Odo. I think he found more of his kind and something happened I can't remember.

And who thinks about Worf in the sack?!

I was thinking about the girl actually, she was hot. Worf could just be a blurry shape in the background.

Better yet, it could be me in a Worf mask.

There were a couple of good characters on DS9, but Cisco was a bit weak and that Colm Meaney guy should be banned from the screen. Chief O'brien? Shoot him into deep space and pitch his wife out first for a target. When it became obvious they were spinning him off from ST:TNG, I was totally disgusted.

And Scott Bakula? Liked him in Quantum Leap but he is a bit... well, "reserved" (read: suffers from Costner's disease) in his current role. Kirk was over the top but does that mean that everyone else has to be a stone-face? Even Picard took a few seasons to get comfortable enough in his spot to really let rip with some emotion.

But Bakula seems to be getting better, and the aliens in :Enterprise are visually slick. Lots of potential there. I really think Farscape raised the bar on what makes a good alien, even if it did have some other problems.

This season the writing has improved quite a bit. The problem is still the captain , I don't think he fits well at all. The rest of the crew seem to work in alright but not like The Next Generations crew whatsoever. The special effects have really gotten better and I commend them on that aspect of the series. It is to bad they waited until now to start producing some better stuff for they lost many people along the way with the crap they started out with. They will need a great deal of advertising to show everyone how much they have changed for the better in order to get those that were dissappointed to return to this series.
