Strip mod status/ban WellCookedFetus

Upon my review of the post in question... It deserved a good edit, not a deletion. The line "You sir, are a DIPSHIT", should have been removed--among a few other things. Other then that, I would not have deleted the post.

There were at least five deleted posts. Maybe closer to ten. He was deleting them as soon as I posted and I lost count.

I do agree with the deletion of the off-topic posts. WCF was attempting to keep the thread from becoming like this one. But unfortunately he had to close it. The conversation should have taken place via PM.

 

Given that the posts were relevent to the developing conversation, they could have been moved here instead of deleting them.

Further, the topic post was one giant insult. The relevant topic was the validity of the topic. WCF's ability to discern the difference between insult and supported assertion was pertinent.

Please show me how that thread topic violated the rules. Insulting per say is not forbiden as just about anything can be insulting to anyone, only specific insulting actions are.

I can't "move" a post to another thread, you should have done that after I told you to.

 

Actually, you can crop a thread and move it with a new title to another part of the forum.

 

Argh. Dude, focus for a second. You just stated that the stuff was off-topic. I was giving reasons the comments were relevant. It seems to me that the merits of the topic post of a thread are a valid point of discussion regarding any thread. Perhaps your ability to interpret the exchange regarding those merits was a "side topic", but in that case you could have given me the opportunity to copy the posts before deletion. It's worthy to note that in comparison to most of the conversations I see on sci, that's pretty damned close to the topic.

I would have had I known you would also be deleting things you incorrectly deemed "off topic". The conversation was going there, and I would have cut and paste it here had I had the opportunity. You could have done the same, or at least given me a few minutes to copy them before deleting them. I understand that you don't have to. I have the right to complain about your retarded behavior, and you have a right to ignore, mod it when you're able or complain about it right back.

 

You can't blame him for being pissed off. Someone called him at work. twice. Put yourself in his perspective. (That is the essential social function of the human brain - to picture what another human is thinking).

Anyhoo...I'm also very confrontational. I got better at handling these situations when I got older. Still there is the occiasional huge slip up.

Get it while you can cause it'll be deleted almost as soon as I post it.

I'm not sure what I'll be banned for or what not to persist in.

But being called at work is not something to be taken lightly, and not something that the victim should be blamed for.
