The title says it all really..what song would you have played at your funeral? Mine would be The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony...or maybe Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah.. You?

Hmm. I'm having trouble deciding on disturbing, amusing, and rousing songs. I'll come back with more.

Can't have just one song at a funeral you know.

It's a tough question. I'll be dead when the songs are chosen, so I can't really say what I want. They can just play traditinal suneral music. It might give me points in the afterlife. I don't think "Eulogy" by Tool would help.

Well I meant, what song you would request to have played...I was thinking, maybe a Leonard Cohen one - the future - any Leonard fans out there?

Leonard Cohen? How about Avalanche? Basically telling everyone at the funeral to piss of?

lol, I don't know Avalanche..but I think Leonard's suitably depressed for the funeral scene, and he is brilliant with his words..he's more likely to make everyone else wish it was their funeral instead of mine!

    Ok start off with

R.E.M - It's the end of the world.

    then into

Incubus - Nice to know you

    then...

Rolling Stones - You can't always get what you want.

    followed by...

Rage Against the Machine - Beautiful world

    then to counter that song

    Coldplay - Don't panic

Then a recorded message by me for my wife followed by

    Coldplay - Parachutes

    and....

    Coldplay - Scientist

    and to end it all

Foo Fighters - Times like these....

and.....when my casket it being lifted to be buried or burned (take your pick)

Steve Vai - For the love of god.

During the funeral they should play Rage Against the Machine-"Beautiful World"
and during the burial they should play Incubus's ''Nice to know you"

It's what I think life is all about. Doing things because you're told to do things. Just dragging your heels from one day to the next. We are all drones and death is the only escape.

Yes but I pick those songs because they describe best what I would want people to feel at my funeral.

They are a great band who sometimes put int owords what I tried many times. I still listen to them even I am getting into more and more metal.
