I still don't get it why americans are so proud of their country. Everywhere I have been in the states it looks like a 3rd world country.

It is a 3rd world country, they just have not realized it yet. Somehow reminds me of the soviet union...

Canada just seems a little too gay to be the greatest country of all time.

Canada rules, good people, relatively more stable society, multiculturism, good food, and so on
    however, tax is too high

oh yeah, one thing, how can we make judgements on Canada being the greatest country of ALL TIME? we can only say that Canada is or is not the greatest country of OUR TIME, in my opinion.

    Spurious:
You must have booked trips from "Ghetto Tours, inc." or something...
Besides, an obscure footnote to the Constitution reads"
"You have the right to throw garbage around like nobody's business and live in a tarpaper shack..."

Back when they scribbled up the thing, in between banging their slavely "mistresses" and commiting acts of terrorism against the no good "Tory" bastards who dared opine that maybe the protection of the world's then most powerful country wasn't so bad after all, [visionless morons !] throwing out the trash was equivalent to fertilizing the "North 40", where the Founding Robber Barons grew their hemp the old fashioned way - in the good, good, Earth... not in a block of spongey goop suspended in bat-guano saturated water...!
And tarpaper was cutting edge back then... it was like they were living in a geodysic dome house, or something...

It's one of those seemingly antiquated passages like the 2nd Ammendment...
Which prompts people who would run shreiking from the thought that they might actually have to serve a hitch defending America in her armed forces believe they somehow have the right to own a machine gun...

I know you were most likely looking for a cheap thrill by braving those environs, but trust me... stick to the immediate vicinity of Las Vegas, where the American Ideal is visible in all it's moneyed glory...
We got prostitutes up the ying-yang in their regulated "special preserves" and everything...
Just make sure you exchange them "Euro" thingies for good Ol' US Greenbacks... otherwise people will think you're trying to pawn off "Monopoly money" on 'em...

    Dreamy:
    It is the Soviet Union...
    I mean think about it...

"We hold these truths to be self-evident... That all men are created equal..."

"To each according to his needs... From each according to his abilities..."

From the same Illuminati department of high-minded but meaningless pronunciamentos...?
Heck... I'm no conspiracy theorist, but those Freemasons sure did get around...

But with more cashola to throw around, we made our place look a whole lot glitzier, and since we praise imagination for the amount of money it is capable of generating, we were able to sponge up all manner of "intellectuals" from all the other collections of dirt surrounded by imaginary meaningless lines out there calling themselves "countries" with corn-ball PR gimmicks like "streets paved with gold". [man... you guys really fell for that one in droves...!] and then get 'em to come up with all manner of junk to pawn off on our citizenry to make them believe their lifestyle was second to none...!
[Not that it isn't or anything... I mean... Who wouldn't prefer a collection of largely useless status-verifying stuff to the so-called "loving support structure" of a large extended family and neighborly communty... bunch of balderdash, I tell ya...!]

As for that 3rd world business... please refer to my earlier revelations on the less well-known portions of our Sacred Document of Organization...
It can't be helped that these people are on some kind of "leftover hippe-binge commune kick"...
We like to preserve at least the illusion that people can choose whatever alternative lifestyle they wish, so that the truly hypnotized can just get on with making money, which is what we are really all about...

awww, Wes... yer makin' me blush...!
I'm just a patriotic American doing his duty to shed some clean, clear light into the foggy realms where these inhabitants of "Terra Incognita" seem to dwell.

    I see...

Clearly then, your attitude must have been predisposed toward viewing our gleaming alabaster palaces as slum dwellings by virtue of the fact that your taskmasterish overseers uprooted you from your humble mud-hut village - where, in spite of its rudimentariness, you find that the distict lack of people with money falling out of their pockets for want of those pockets' capacity to hold it, and brazen slatterns throwing themselves at the feet of every other Tom, Dick and Harry to be vaguely comforting in some way which we infinite sophisticates might well never understand.

By stretching my ordinarily cash- sex- and violence-obsessed mentality to it's very limits, I can just barely glimpse the shadowy edge of how it all must have boggled your mind... but understand, I'm known as something of an "overly adventurous misfit" by my more conventionally disposed associates.

Try to get employment in Canada and find out how low the wages are in comparison with other developed countries like America, Germany or Japan.

If you find a job in here Germany... and the wages here are getting lowered, or at least unemployed people are "forced" to take on low wage jobs just so we can reduce the unemployment rate. I mean, 5 € per hour is not that much... but at least you can get help from the country if you do not get along.

I think it's hard to judge which country is the best because all first world countries have their perks and downfalls. I love living in Canada. I think it's in fact too easy to live here and it causes terminal lazyness in many people (on welfare programs, indian cheques and so on...). Our health care system is one of the best in the world. We do have high taxes, but we get decent health care for free, so I can ignore the taxes. There are a few kinks in the health care system in the cities but they are being worked out.

Ok, we do have some good celebrities, artists and musicians, but I don't really think that that constitutes a good country. We are more accepting of others, we have an extremely low crime rate and we actually take care of our handguns problem! We have impartial news broadcasts that allow us to think on more of a global perspective. We are not fed the government's propaganda. I would never want to have been born in the United States, especially in the backwards, country music listening, inbred, pro-gun south. I would be another one fo those genetically inferior brainwashed Bush Bitch.

I can't stand watching American Network news, it's full of bullshit. They tell you that there was ten murders in one night in your city (usually in the ethnic parts of town) and then tell you that you live in the best country in the world, and you lock your door in your safe, quiet suburb house, lettying that bastard Bush fuck up your international status and the rest of the world.

There is a percentage of canadians who don't lock our doors. We lock our doors in case someone decides to rob our house in the night, not because we are afraid of being killed. Also, I leave my door open in the middle of the day, while I'm at home or when I'm at work. Most Canadians do. COME AND ROB MY HOUSE, I HAVE A GOOD INSURANCE POLICY!!!

American politics are spinning out of control so badly these days that it makes me REALLY angry that Bush hasn't been killed yet. They should have killed Bush and forgot about all that World Trade shit. Bush is the enemy, along with his buddy Dick.

As for Canada, we have our problems, but we're not the USA. There are many other good countries in the world. I think it depends on a person's tastes. Some people think of the Netherlands as paradise (yes... we all know why), others like the atmosphere in Norway, or the weather in Germany. It's a series of factors. What's important is that Canada is one of the best, and I think no one can deny that.

Yep, I would definitely agree that Canada is one of the best (Disregarding the fact that it borders on the USA).

So the Americans really get some crappy biased news and TV programm? I always thought it must be an overdrawn myth, but since so many people comment on it...

If Artists would be an indication of how good a country is, I would say we should revert Germany to the way it was about 150 to 200 years ago.

It's not just their TV, it's everything about the USA's attitude, global political participation, feeble healthcare and education, the general public, their problems, their guns... and the list can go on....

Frankly the shirt is all wrong, firstly we didn't nessecarily start a country a country was given to us, and secondly we have some of the highest immigration rates in the world.
