    Red dwarf (well sci-fi comedy).
    x-files,why isnt that there?
    quantum leap,
stargate, well i voted for that cos its the best on the list
star trek TNG was the best series IMO out of all the ST

Buffy,id not call that sci-fi,more like comedy horror/teen drama

sliders, that was a decent show too till the last couple of seasons.

    Not exactly a comprehensive list.

Quantum Leap comes high on my list, too.

As for Sliders: it was fun, but got a bit too derivative - especially in the 3rd season. They ripped off lots of movies, and even did a pastiche of Quantum Leap's evil leaper storyline - remember Quinn's evil female double, Logan, who disappeared screaming in a baleful red glow after failing to shoot Quinn, just like Alia with Sam?

I never got to see most of the 4th and 5th seasons of Sliders. Did we ever see that woman again? Did Quinn or Colin Mallory find their original Earth?

Season 5 of sliders was just rubbish,i dont think i cared enough to watch it through to the end ,but from the various guides it looks like it was cancelled before actually finnishing it properly.

Quantum leap finished much better with a real twilight zony(a happier eposode of TZ) type of ending.

Still, many fans were, and remain, unsatisfied with the final episode. I once read a Quantum Leap novel whose author dedicated it: "To QL fans who, like me, refuse to believe that Sam never returned home."

There should be some kind of TV movie or miniseries to reunite the principle cast and close off the series properly. I mean, so much was left unanswered: if Al's 1st marriage was saved and his life completely changed, did he ever even join Project Quantum Leap? Did Sam's daughter, who also worked on the Project, try her theory on how to bring him back? Who were all the miscellaneous time travellers and dopplegangers in the miners' bar at the end? What happened to Alia, and where or when was her project?

I agree that the list isn't comprehensive.
Farscape is tied for 1st. Thats my current fav.
I would have voted for Red Dwarf though.

I hope american TV will begin to accept ala carte purchasing soon. Basic cable sux. $600+/yr and completely full of commercials. Even some Infomercials have there own program names. One was named Space Diamond. LOL a jewlery salesman was hawking space age gems for a half-hour. They had a cheesy space curtain in the background and crappy star trek knockoff intro and score.

Not voting but the Showtime series(at least the first season, havent seen any of the new ones) 'Jeremiah' I thought was great. Course you gotta love the post apocalyptic end of the known world stuff first. Luke Perry and Malcom Jemal Warner. Kick ass~!

Never heard of Jeremiah either. But I do love post-apocalyptic stories. Pray tell, what is the premise of the series?

Jeremiah= Some super flu bug gets released and kills everyone over the age of puberty(slp?) So you have a bunch of 1-10 year old kids trying to survive having all the older people dead, and the story picks up 20 or so years later when they all grow up and have no knowledge of the old world just trying to survive and figure out what the fucks going on basically. And trying to rebuild a civilization as well.

So it could be called "Mad Max Juniors" or "The Children's Stand"? Sounds a little like Empty World, a novel by John Christopher, where only the young - and very few of them - are immune to an apocalyptic virus.

No its nothing like those IMO. But Stand and Road Warrior are great movies. I would not stand for imitations of such masterpieces. But I am sure I might have ppl to say different. Still its a good drama set in a sci-fi setting with moral lessons I guess you'd say. Whatever to each his own and I like the series so......Funny shit though Mad Max Juniors or The Children's Stand lol that gave me a good laugh. Gonna have to do a search for the Empty World book though.
