Everyday, we have thoughts, and questions. It is so normal that ALMOST no one notice when they make a thought.(ppl are not awear of which "OH I AM THINK!!"..DUH...lol)

however, there are the extrem questions....

IS OUR THOUGHTS, EMOTIONS, FEELINGS, A FORM OF CHEMICAL PROCESS?

WHAT EXACTLY IS MAKING ME HAVING SUCH IDEA( like...posting this on here)

WHEN SOMETHING JUST POP OUT OF YOUR MIND, WHERE DID IT COME FROM?

WHAT MADE US TO ASK QUESTIONS? (in fundermental basses)

HOW IS THIS ALL RELATED TO EVOLUTION?

IS THINKING A NEED? (i suppose we can still live without science, and without knowing anything about the universe...just need to know how to eat, where to hunt, and where to sleep.)

these are my questions.....obviously i cannot answer them.......

so if anyone of u got any ideas....please say it out loud~~

    1. Are our thoughts, emotions, feelings, a form of chemical process?

Well, yes and no. Monoamines or brain chemicals, include serotonin, norepinephrine and dopamine. These chemicals regulate such fundamental functions as mood and motor control. But, it is the learned response from events and activities that tell these chemicals when to react and not react. In people who have no pain receptors, they do not know to wince or to cry out when they are hurt. Although, after the age of 4 they will look at the wound, and know to cry out. It is the mind that stimulates those chemicals, or drugs as Revolution pointed out. Extasy, prozac (and other anti-depressants) , LSD, mescaline, peyote and other such drugs alter the chemicals without thought at all.

    2. What exactly is making you have such an idea?

The thirt for knowledge and advancement that is found in most human beings with an IQ over 100.

    3. When something just pops into your mind, where does it come from?

We are a sum of our experiences. We rarely, if ever think or dream about something we hasn't seen, touched, tasted or felt. Often, what we have perceived becomes mutated and combined with other ideas and perceptions to become a new thought, or perhaps a piece of art, or interesting novels. Creativity is born of those who allow their own mind to put together things never thought of.

    4. What makes us ask these questions?

Again, it's a quest for advancement and knowledge. To understand your own condition and relate to it. To gain perspective. To avoid wrong conslusions and mistakes.

    5. How is it all related to Evolution?

Well, it's how we advance. We ask questions, think about the answers, and we come up with a solution.

    6. Is thinking a need.

The answer is no. It is not a need to survive. Instinct can drive a human to feed itself when hungry, to sleep when it is tired, to seek comfort when it is cold, and to bathe when it is smelly. But it will do none of these things effectively, if thought is not involved.

P.S. Typing in all caps is generally not the way to get things answered around here.

    1) Basically yes. Thoughts are a function of the brain. Studies of brain lesions makes it very clear that even emotions, thoughts, about anything that makes up a personality is a function of the brain. However the brain is exhibits very high plasticity, that is, any information that reaches it results in activity or ins some cases (like long-term memory storaging), structural changes
    2) A function of circumstances most likely.
    3) A function of brain activity. Most of it is not experiences consciously thus the feeling of idea just "popping" up.
    4) Depends on who you are.
    5) It led to the development of all extant species, including humans. Thus the human brain is also a product of evolution. Evolution itself is not directed, hence no advancement.
    6) Define thinking.
