I was sent this in an Email and I thought it was very inspiring. I thought I would share it with everyone and let you post your comments. http://www.theinterviewwithgod.com/windowmovie2.html
Brutus I want to make three points about the link...4 points actually. 1) the link says it was a dream as in not real 2) the imagery while beatiful, was designed to appeal to the emotional side of man instead of the intelliectual or rational man. 3) It is a suddle sales pitch on the cosmic theory of teleology which leads me to ask ...do you think the Universe is made from intellingent design?--ie is there a designer? 4) It is nice that you thought of sharing something that made you feel good inside
all very sweet, so I thought you may like these too. http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=40014 http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=40126 no the clouds are made out of candy floss(cotton candy)etc and gods a cuddly wuddly bunnie, or so lori would like us to believe.
Fascinating..... is that a Buddhist website or something? The Interview certainly does not contain a scrap of Christian, Jewish or Muslim theology or creed. It's just a generally good philosophy and intelligent insight, except a bit wooly and non-specific. In fact it need not be an interview with God - because it's supposed to be God, "his children" are presumed to be the whole of humanity, but there's no reason that what He is supposed to have said could not simply be applied to an ordinary person who has his own children to raise and have understanding of the world. After God has his say about what surprises him about Humanity (all of which was very good, I thought), he and the interviewer sit in silence - was that when they went to commercial?
Buddhist don't have a God. It has a Niv version qoute of Isiah 41:10 on it which shows a propensity for Christanity as it doens't list the torah as the source but the OT in the about us section. The poem is by an unknown author. I am guessing it is a monotheistic website that tried to be as unbiased as it could be. http://www.theinterviewwithgod.com/ The website on the mission statement says "Inspiring millions, one soul at a time." Buddist do not believe in a soul as I understand their belief structure.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but surely even if there is a different name for it, it is essentially what we all understand by the word "soul" that passes from life to life accruing karma on the pathway to Nirvana, isn't it?
Maybe, never seen one....here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soul#Buddhist_beliefs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anatta http://www.dharmathecat.com/
