Some constructive criticism, if you've no objection.
Firstly, the cloud on the large planet looks... rough. Not quite right.
The stars seem to cluster where the light is at its brightest, and become less visible where there is less other light.
    Otherwise, that's pretty amazing.

Cool pic. I reckon you should have a full outline of the earth/planet though, even if its faint, otherwise it looks like the light source is in front of the planet... Unless, of course its something colliding with the planet, in which case ignore me.

can't really put a full outline around the earth world because it goes off the edge of the pic.

as for the cloud ya a little might have to rework them..

as for the stairs brighter in the middle your right origonal if you take away the bright flash there is a galeaxy cluster under it. desided to go other ways with it and just did not take the time to remake the star field.

Thanks for the comments anything else you think needs work tell me always like to bring my art to higher levels.

A gorgeous pic, I might make it my desktop!

Just 1 thing - with the big planet near enough covering the central light, shoudnt we see almost nothing but its dark side? There'd be no land and sea visible.

your right most of it would be not visible but there still would be some because its like in the morning or dusk its still some light when the sun is not above skyline.

but if there was just a big black hole in the pic would not be very intresting eather.

Guess you couldve had the dark side of the planet lit up more faintly, as if by a moon off the edge of the picture.

I love it...and I have an idea for your title.

I'm an author, and since this picture is similar to one that inspired me for this particular story, I suggest the title "End Notes to Humanity" or something similar.
