    Hey everyone...

I know if you guys know some good sites that show statistics like everything as a percentage of GDP, for example. It is often hard to find statistics that use comparisons. For example, it is easier to find a number for a countries debt than a debt-to-GDP ratio, which is much more significant.

Also I would love to get some rare statistics such as renewable resources as a percentage of GDP and corporate taxes as a percentage of GDP. Also comparison between countries.

So I wonder, maybe we should compile a list of the best sites with the best and rarest statistics (as well as the common ones). And they should also be updated fairly regularly...

What's this with "...we should compile..."? No scholastic integrity? You can't do your own research? Try GOOGLE'ing.

The point of the thread is to have reliable academic statistical data on basically everything that has to do with political science. As I said before, many kinds of data are hard to find. This could be helpful for all of us.

Also, we could use those in our discussions. Because as far as I know, people are not as well informed as they could be. Data such as corporate taxes as a percentage of GDP could enrichen our discussions, ya know?

Population statistics, economic statistics, geography(size, arable land, etc), military strength, international treaties that they're a party to, and current disputes with other powers.

It's pretty good just because it’s incredibly general.

Which is likely, considering it is CIA....

In any case.... as I mentioned before, I'm not talking about general statistics, I'm talking about much more useful statistics such as an average of wage that the multinational corporations pay for people at underdeveloped and developing countries. I'm looking for the good ones, which are VERY hard to find....
