I'd have to say Far Cry also. Halo 2 and Half-Life 2 didn't bring much "new" to the table. San Andreas brings a lot more cool stuff, but is basically the same. Far Cry though is simply beatiful. What's even better though is the more openendedness due to the massive levels there are, you can approach the objective from many angles. I also like the added stealth effect which I've been wanting for years in a 3rd-person shooter.

    Vampires: Bloodlines.

It had some technical issues, but it was the best RPG since Fallout 2

Vampire: Bloodlines, ugh, all those technical issues are so highly annoying. I have slight choppiness when running around in the cities with a high-end system too. It was coded horribly.

I actually didn't bother to play the game for the longest time until I finally got bored of my other games and started playing it. It's been fun so far (haunted hotel was creepy! and the prostetic man was sickly amusing), but there's just too many things that are bugging me. I've only finished Santa Monica and a couple quests in Los Angeles so I don't know what else I'm missing, I'm just disappointed in the lack of character customization and the lack of special powers for each discipline, not to mention that most special powers are just copied from one another. Sure, they may all be little things, but when there’s a lot of little things, they just add up into a huge one.

Heh, my favorite thing about the game though has to be the responses for the Malkavians. The font for them adds a maniacal flavor to it too. I just laugh my ass off each time I see how the responses are changed for a Malkavian. Some funny shit there.

Sadly though, all the unfinishedness, shoddy coding, and other such things is the downfall from making this what could have been such an awesome game. I was also hoping for it to be more openended but it's not. I enjoyed Vampires: The Masquerade MUCH better. Heck, I still play it every now and then. And no, I’m not saying all this to pick on your choice of game since my responses usually wind up that way in regards to you, it just wound up that way this time. I was looking forward to this game for the longest time but those bad parts just have too big of an impact on the game.

I love Half-Life too. There really isn’t anything wrong with it, it just lacks “newness”. However, the thing that I was most disappointed in was that it claimed to be openended which it wasn’t. With all the talk of this taking place in a city, I was hoping to be able to travel all around, but in all levels, there’s still a bunch of blocked off areas that force you to go one way.

Half Life 2 was an amazing experience but lack replayability. Best game for me was Dawn of War. Seeing a universe I've been involved in for over a decade brought to life...I came in my pants.

yeah, it has a lot of memory issues... just make sure you have 500 megs free and it's a good idea to decompress most of the files iwth a third party tool.

But the dialogue and story are worth it.
What bloodline are you? I played it as Tremere and Malkavian... those are the best.

Have you got in an arguement with a stop sign yet? That was quality.

Moron, Veitnam was only a slight improvement on 1942. And it messed it up. ONLY americans and some wierd Veitnam people to play as, ONLY jungle levels and no decent mods to speak of. Also it takes up far too much more resources for the slight improvements in graphics and physics.

Just get BF1942, its easy to run and has great mods.
