Do you think going to church is risky?
Where is God to protect his people?
I think, the power of bullet is more powerful than God,
    ironically!

I find that the average atheist is just as distasteful as the average Christian.

I find the process of finding God at Sunday Church just as harmful to this planet as any other industry.

Consider the effects of ; trees cut down to make bibles and papers, the carbon emmisions from cars and vehicles used to get to the church, the church itself is made of materials that made from metals, woods and plastics (some of which are emitted in the air) and also the food and products consumed in ceremonies and rituals.

All of these above just to proove to their god their love and faith on a weekly / day-to-day basis. Now dont get me wrong, I am all for faith in ones god, but is this really neccesary in a modern religious society ?

I think by wanting to live a full life that they have already proven their faith.

How long before we have congregations and masses performed entirely online? People work from home now, make friends at virtual meeting places, find love in cyberspace... why shouldn't they also worship via the Internet?

At least then there would be no risk of some maniac with a hidden firearm turning a quiet Sunday service into a bloodbath just for the publicity, or because the woman he's fixated on is marrying somebody else...

Killings in churches have taken place ever since churches began to exist. I don't see what the fuss is about.
Oh and once we start worshiping via internet you won't expect people to get killed in front of their computers? Hehe.

Didn't seeks (spelling...) manage to get a play cancelled as a result of violent protests. The reason being that killing and homosexuality went on in their temple/church.

They succeeded in ending the play, but also succeeded in further making religion a laughing stock and isolated themselves further as a minority group.

Church is ment as a social gathering for those who believe in the same way of thinking. If you don't believe in God then just don't go. Assholes are found everywhere, even in churches, just look at all the priests that molest children!!

this is not the only case where fire shooting occorred in church, i think, churches have to setup tight security to ensure worshippers safety.

Is it not religion? Religion in america seems to mingle with politics... just look at bush. Whilst abortion and right to life 'etc' are all worth debating, I find it sad that americans mostly base their political opinions from their religious belifs.

I have the upmost respect for any religious people that have it as their own faith. But when they try to force their belifs on to children who dont know better and force it on to politics as well makes it a complete laughing stalk.

Hopefully religious people and athiests can learn to exist peacefully but I certainly hope that religion dissappears from the stupidity of humanity in the next few thousand years.

Maybe I should be posting this in the religious forum?

If gun is not easy to get, less killing will happen.

Ask Bush to ban gun, only policemen can own it.

guns can serve legitimate purposes, it is just when they get handed out on the street to chilrdren that the problem arises. then again, is it really a problem when they kill themselves, less work for me i say

People kill each other out of church too, y'know. Technically it's risky going anywhere sine there's so many psychos around. People just like to pick on the christians...

    Too true.

Along with Gambit Star's whole argument about the resources being used to worship the Lord.

Of course trees are killed to make bibles, how many other books are made with paper? not many right? when books other than the bible begin to be made with paper I'd better hear you start complaining.

I also remember reading that the Bible is one of the most stolen books in the world. Maybe all of you atheists are getting worried and/or curious and don't want to let anyone else know?

Right. Because the churchgoers are the only ones that can afford cars. Right.
See: "How to make a Building, Regardless of Religion" - probably a top seller among contractors, seeing how churches are the only buildings made out of these little known materials.
We eat saltines and grape juice every month or so depending on the church. We realize that your soups are suffering from the lack of crackers, but really, your chicken noodle soup is just as good without the body of Christ getting soggy.

That is worldwide. I don`t know about the church of satan since satan is a murderer and a liar according to the Bible (John 8:44). Well, there are churches which claim to be christians but some of their members are still greedy not only for lust and money but for the blood of people.
