i made him on the Sims 2, had nothing else that looked "viking"

He's a Viking. where do you get "hillbilly" from "viking"
but they did have pants in the 900s, and that was the closest to "900s" clothing in that game.

Thanks. An exercise in B&W...the subject matter wasn't limited to anything. I just fell in love with the photograph.

Literally, that clothing is the closest thing to a Viking tunic and leather cuirass.
Literally, the only thing close...
But what about the character in general?
Pretty good, ugly, kickass, or realistic? Or other?

He looks like a hillbilly; the jeans, the facial hair, the retro denim, the fur rough. It's midwestern bar. How do I get hillbilly from viking? Because I see a hillbilly there, not a viking. It's like you showing me a picture of a rabbit and telling me it's a wolf. When I say it looks like a wolf, it's because it's a wolf, not because you calling a wolf a rabbit actually makes it a rabbit.
What do I think of it? If the son of Odin likes beer, big tits, country music and American trucks, then you definitely have your man.

 

I told you, there was nothing closer to a viking's pantaloons, and a fur cuirass. Literally, nothing else closer. Sims 2 expak: university has stuff closer, but i havent played the Skulsplitters in a long time.
The head looks like a viking though. Blonde hair, Blue eyes, Big beard. The three B's of Viking appearance.
Besides, its supposed to be Dieter after he returns amidst the German Civil War of 2322 (dont ask, long fic)

 

I did make hillbilly's though, in that game.
They wear denim jackets and suspenders.
And messy tanktops.

I called them the "Hickum" family.

including Nuke, Patch, Hacker, and Wrench...
I'll post this one of 'em...its really cool. its a group photo that i had on a white background. i copy-pasted it onto a desert backdrop. looks like Gulf War scenery...after all, they did fight in the Gulf War in the story. here ya go:

Don't know why I've never uploaded the couple of pictures that I have of mine scanned.

I gave these to a friend of mine years ago (in fact, I had to give up almost all of my art and art materials at the time and have gotten virtually none of them back. Sucks really.) and he scanned it for me over a year ago. He didn't scan it well though.

These first two are the same picture (duh) and were drawn one night when I "couldn't sleep".

They're a few years old and nicotine stained and a bit blurred from never being treated for permanency. I think I could have done better on certain aspects of the drawing (especially problematic is that there is no sense of perspective. Distant objects actually appear darker than near objects), but on the whole I think it's acceptable.


This next is a copy of an old Wizard magazine cover. And, it has problems as well. But, again, so-so. In my opinion.

I wish I had this picture I copied of Vic Rattlehead (Megadeth's mascot) standing on top of a pile of skulls carrying the globe on his shoulders. That was sweet.

I copied more than created. The first picture is one of the few pictures that was actually mine.

Why didn't you ever pursue art school? I mean I understand if you like money then you wouldn't want to but you never struck me as the money hungry type of guy.
