Another interesting question. I might be able to answer your question better once I know more about your perception of winning and losing. What is the target, for example.
In a winner's mind, is all the people that they are better than. Do this. Find some pathetic people, then think about all the ways that you are better than they are. Then flaunt it and make them feel bad about themselves. This will make you a winner.
win... lose... what's the difference! by 'losing'... you win something... by 'winning'... you lose something...
Oh… How fucking profound and cryptic. I bet you ram cucumbers up your ass and convince yourself its sex with Claudia Schiffer.
Never quit going after what you want in life, as long as it is something good or something good will come out of it.
I agree with Yorda and Cosmictraveler. Whether you win or lose you have still contributed to advancing some part of your intelligence, naturally. As Cosmic said, it is what we put into it that we achieve, not just the taking. Hpothetically speaking, if referring to a game for instance, the winner gets to feel and achievement of control, but!, as a 'loser' you have just learned an extra step in how to achieve closer to your objectives in life. Life, whether you lose or not. If I were to write anymore in this thread it would probably only provide another reason for one of you to argue with me, so I must conclude that I am wrong.
Im a loser... wait the other type of loser dictionary.com puts winner at Winner - n -One that wins, especially a victor in sports or a notably successful person. and loser at loser - n 1. 1. One that fails to win: the losers of the game. 2. One who takes loss in a specified way: a graceful loser; a poor loser. 2. 1. One that fails consistently, especially a person with bad luck or poor skills: “losers at home seeking wealth and glory in undeveloped countries” (Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.). 2. One that is bad in quality: That book is a real loser.
Best to just enjoy whatever you do and not worry. There are people who kill themselves even after winning.I will join the cliche of people who say enjoying the game is far more important. "Free your mind and achieve focus" -Bruce Lee
My professor says that a successful photographer is one that's still in the darkroom (or on the computer, whatever). I guess I would equate that to winning (success), and it sort of goes along with what archivehugh just said.
It's not whether you win or lose it matters if you got your ass beat into the fucking ground, not if you just lost. Let's say that you are on a basketball team and you lose a game 55 to 52. You lost. Now if you got beat 55 to 32, you got your ass beat into the fucking ground
One can never fail if one never stops trying. Even though you might not get an invention right after 400 tries, you've actually found 400 ways that it won't work.
Yeah didn't Thomas Edison, or whoever invented the lightbulb, said about the lightbulb after he finally got it to work, after about 100 times of trying?
