Who said anything about the "Democratic Party"? If somebody dares paint your idiot-boy president and his corporate-theocratic puppetmasters with a bad brush, they must therefore be boosters of the Democrats? The world is more complicated than you apparently are.

The democrats are the only other party worth a pound of rat droppings. The lesser parties appear to be all one brand of nutter or another.

Its tough to claim cohesiveness even within one ''party'' however. My dad is a republican -- who actually believes in *gasp* the government staying OUT of your business. Unlike the current crop of corporate fascist neo-con nut-jobs who think they have the GeeeeZHuuuus given right to screw with you anyway they please.

I'm a republican who doesn't agree with everything the party stands for. Like I said earlier, I want Teddy Roosevelt to come back from the dead. But the republican party fits my ideal of government one hell of a lot better than the other options.

It scares the hell out of me that Howard Dean got as much support as he did last election. And things only go downhill from there once you wander down into the multitudes of insane lesser parties out there.

Dem, Repug . . . at this point no matter . . . Brand USA is toast. We produce nothing anymore, we are a nation of fatass TV lobotomized consumers. GM stock is now a junk bond. National debt now at $286,000 for every man, woman and child. But front pages are about freaking fingers in chile, freak singers on trial . . . and our legislatures debate and vote on the burning of flags.

    Toast.

Whine, point fingers, call me names, don't believe me -- but wait and watch, and remember somebody said it. (Don't get me wrong I don't WANT this crap to get ugly like this, but hell - if its happening anyways, I might as well enjoy a cathartic giggle or two as we slide into the 2cd Dark Ages & Great Depression).

Except for the fact that our companies, our culture, and argueably our military, rule most of the world. I would love to see the debt collector who could collect without wiping out world civilization.

Also note that that we are one of the most productive countries in the world. Its just that we are also an even bigger importer. We don't manufacture things because we don't have to. Factory jobs are demeaning and companies just can't pay us enough to make the avarage American waste his day by stitching soccer balls.

We have most of the infrastructure set up. If we ever get down to the point where it would be economically viable to do that sort of drudge work, we will start up again. Until we collapse (and can then write off all debt) or the lenders die off, we will buy other people's goods with their own money. Think of it as bootstraping our way up in the world.

They don't have to come and ''collect''.

Dude, you need to educate yourself. Printing money with nothing to back it up is monopoly money. And threating to keep a gun to their heads to keep them at bay . . . yet claiming moral high ground? Nice.

that was the problem in the last election, people voted with their guts and not their heads.

same here, but not for the same reasons you probably picked. the only reason Dean was so popular was because the press made him popular. he was the most "average" looking/speaking (just before the primaries) that the press just picked him and ran with it. even after his famous "YYYAAAHHHHH!!!!" speech, the brainwashing never fully wore off.

And of course, somebody getting emotional and spouting a stupid sounding yell is FAR worse than say . . . being a barely literate theocratic coke-head alcoholic chicken-hawk who lies and gets thousands of Americans killed.

you add to my point, the media makes or breaks candidates. Dean, IMO, was not the man for the job, but the media made him look like that man for a while. the same with Bush, everyone made so much hype that everyone got tired of it, even though Bush was obviously wacko (IMO)

You want a man who pushed radical socialist legislation through congress and was a confirmed environmentalist wacko to rise from the dead and become presedent? Arn't all you republicans supposed to pine away for the Regan era? Don't you think Roosavelt should have fired striking workers like Regan rather than creating a "square deal" and busting the trusts?

I am a capitalist. I think big, multi-national businesses are great. But I also know the danger of letting them form monopolies or too many behind-the-scenes type deals. Their benifits quickly wane when they know they are the only game in town.

I also feel that a certain amount of protection is necessary for wildlife. I just think we are reaching the feasable limits of conservation on the american continent. Other than just not doing something stupid, (ie: don't drain that swamp over there just because you can save an extra dollar per square mile of development) any more action will start hurting the country more than a kick in the balls.

I believe that, just because you think one apple is tasty, it doesn't mean you should eat a crateful. There is a point where a certain amount of anything becomes too much and any medicine becomes a poison.

Well I'm still a Republican, Though I've been betrayed. However McCain is not my choice. I like this guy:
    Ron Paul

    Ron Paul Speaks out!.
    Reconsidering the Patriot Act

    Who’s Better Off?

    Democracy is not Freedom

However like any politician I'm not in all agreement with some of his ideas, but overall it's the best Republican out there!.

Hillary's going to wipe the floor with GOP ass, I look forward to it. I just hope that we give President Clinton (doesn't that sound refreshing?) a democratic majority in the house in 2006.

I'm 15 but smart,a quick learner and interested in knowing about politics(not that I want to go into them, but to know them), and not being ignorant of the world around me. I want to know who is running for prez next election, and what issues they have to have an opinion on, from abortion to middle eastern issues.I would also like to know about Bush, and what his views are and what he has donw right, and wrong. my mom said she voted for bush instead of clinton because they each were asked about pot/alcohol and clinton said "yes i smoked but didnt inhale" and bush said "yes i was an alcoholic but not anymore at all", and she respected him for admitting it(not that most people that could vote at the time cared about what they did, the voters all did that in their day aswell).
