i have a weird feeling about some uber product that will be made in the future. something that every family will have, and something every human-being will need to survive. i don't know, like fire and food, something just as major. yet it hasnt been discovered yet. i thought of this while i was getting my hair cut Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! dont u, to some degree, agree with me?
Agree that some "product" will be "discovered" in the future that is vital to human survival? Products aren't discovered?...At any rate...sure...there are always parts smaller and smaller being discovered that are vital to human existence. And as for products...probably not.
maybe we will find a way to convert matter directly to energy without having to put much energy in to initiate the process, that would be pretty important. perhaps it will be small scale fusion of hydrogen (the protium isotope) with no radiation, so it could be used by a family. who knows, thats why people are always pushing the bounds of whats possible. thats why people become physicist/engineers/biologists/ect
We will soon be needing to buy oxygen with all of the pollutants in the air becoming more serious everyday. Just think over a billion pounds of pollutants are spewed into the atmosphere daily and no one gives a damn about it. When's the last time you heard about air pollution...hmmmm?
fire and food are very basic things that beings cannot survive without. i dont understand how something in that sense could be "discovered"... if its a vital basic need for us to survive, how are surviving without it now? or do you mean that something will affect our way of life and we will have to use somethig else to make up for (was cos said. lol). but even then its just a solution to a problem. i dont see how anything could be discovered...
I don't know why, but whenever air pollution is mentioned I think of skyscraper sized air filter type things. Don't know if thats practical or not.
By "every human being will need to survive" do you mean that literally (as in we will all die of skin cancer due to the hole in the ozone layer without this) or do you mean in a more practical sense as in the way people tend to depend on things for survival that were first introduced as luxury/convenience items?

Something is Bound to get discovered/invented/developed that will change the world and that people will rely on for survival and progress; something is always discovered/etc/etc, it is the natural order of things. Examples: copper, iron, bronze, steel, steam, flight, explosives, electricity, radio, radar, rockets, telephone, penicillin, computer, internet, reality TV (joke but almost true) etc etc

I don't see how that's a weird feeling. It's something that is inevitable. I can name dozens of such things that we have to do without for no reason. Many such necessities that we live without will eventually be available to us someday. It's just that technology progresses slower than a snail, it sucks. But what do you mean by some kind of feeling aboust some uber product? Why would it not happen? You make it seem like this is not an obvious inevitability.
The development of domestic Androids will have a huge impact on the very fabric of society. Imagine having your own Android or Androids... it could look like your favourite movie star/model/slut/whatever and it will clean your house, tidy your room, cook your dinner, chat intelligently, never get angry and fuck like a porn star. Who would want a personal relationship with a real human being after that?
