Well, Pink Floyd - more and Obscured by clouds are swell.

Also, Joby Talbots pieces in the hitchikers guide to the galaxy have balls.

Didn't Mike Patton make some soundtrack work?
    Can't remember.
    If you do, elaborate.

"Blade Runner" by Vangelis. It think it was Oscar-quality, but one section wasn't original. Also, Vangelis had just gotten an Oscar for "Chariots of Fire".

Dependes on what you're after, of course, but for a quality score-style OST try 'Meet Joe Black'.
Chick flick with a beautiful soundtrack.

Queen of the Damned does have a great soundtrack. Probably because so many bands worked together. Soundtrack makes up for the movie. which is sad.. when will they ever get an anne rice movie right? -sighs-
Little Nicky has a good soundtrack too, although some of the best songs in the movie arn't on the soundtrack.
and this probably isnt what your looking for and im not sure if you can buy it.. but i LOVE the music in Oceans11/12..
