how would you survive a zombie epidemic?

Zombies are kind of like rabid dogs. They lose all personality and become ultraviolent. Also since they don't eat in the conventional sense they sort of 'absorb' their own muscles for energy (that is, when they don't have access to human flesh). So all we need to do is survive for a few years and they'll all absorb themselves and fall apart.

That occured to me after I posted but I didn't think anyone else would notice, I'd have to park in the middle of nowhere and switch positions to shoot then switch positions again to drive away, or I could rescue someone to help. According to the movies hot women will survive Zombie attacks so I'm sure I'll find somone to help.

well if the school of computing hadnt shut down, that would be a great place to hold up: one ground level entrance, which can be easily barricaded by desks from the upper level, the elevator is on a time lock, and can only open at times you specify, the stairwell has firedoors with a large metal deadbolt with would take a good size truck to barge open.

the 2 floors of computers(running on UPS systems) would provide an excellent base of operations should we need to plan a counterattack or try to contact someone.
the building is also shared by a restaurant, so food would be no problem for at least a month. plus there are 4 more floors which are almosnt empty, to be used as living space.

then we could lower the robots to ground level and send them to find supplies, which we would bring back by pully system, and being one of the tallest buildings around, a good old rope or guidewire attached to the roof would give us access to the malls and the bus exchange.

Would the zombies attack the robots? Probably not.

yea, but the nearest gun shop almost 10km away and these robots are anly about 30cm high. so until we got the materials to build bigger ones, 10km is more than a few days away(if the batteries last that long)

and besides, id more likely try to mame my way to the bus excange and steal a bus so that i could drive to the industrial district of horby; it is about 5*5km block completly closed off by 2m fences and razor wire except for the main road entrance and a few driveways, but thta can all be closed off, then id have access to an insane amount of petol, plus almost 30 workshops full of machinery to make a zombie killing machine

 

You want to get out of any cities or areas of population ASAP because the military would be nuking and airstriking everything, everywhere. My advice is to get on a boat and head to an oil rig.

 

another option is rakaia island, the crops there could sustain about 500 people, the only problem is that the river isnt excatly that deep(its about 1.5m in most places) so we'd have to rely on a strong current to wash them all downstream, or put a fence up in the middle of it.

 

Ok, lets standardize this thread. I stole this from CAD forums, which was stolen from vgcats forums anyway, so:

1. List 2 or more weapons (be it a kitchen knife, a baseball bat or a gun) in your house you have to protect yourself with.
2. A location that is near that you believe can provide protection
3. What kind of group would you go in when travelling through zombie infested territory (large group, small group, solo)?
4. What type of transportation would you wish for (only things a civilian could possibly get, even a helicopter is possible, but no tanks or military things)?
5. How you would go about fighting zombies (ruthlessly or stealthily)?
6. Do you know your surrounding terrain?
7. Are you fit, average, or out of shape?
8. Do you think you'd keep calm in a panicky situation and/or could hold your own in a fight with zombies?
9.what type of armore whould you use?

1. full sized hand forged katana, and 9mm pistol.
2. huge high rise tower block with flat roof and ground entrance with 1 door (there everywhere here)
3. i would be with my wife and my best friend and training partner and his girl.

5. depends on what the time calls for but preferably stealth.

7, im a personal trainer and martial artist, i could run rings around any zombie
8, calmy all the way my wife and my friends partner would freak out, but me and him would not panic whatsoever that would be our time to shine and put our training to good use for once,
9, hmm i would prefer the lightest armour availible or nothing atall i dont plan on bieng that close to one of the fuckers, and heavy armour with the weapons just slow us down.
