It is rather interesting to compare Israeli success in the areas of telecommunications, aerospace, agriculture and computer tech w/ the TOTAL lack of any contributions in these areas from other nations in the ME.

I was amused by the boast - a few years - back from a Saudi official who pointed w/ pride to the fact that SA produced more degreed scholars than any other ME country. What he neglected to inform his US audience was that the majority of these degrees were awarded in the field of Islamic studies! Yea, that's just what the ME needs, more Imams.

OK, Foley - given your line of reasoning - then both Egypt and Pakistan should be smashing successes in these areas as well - thanks to the trillions sunk into them, courtesy of the US taxpayer. And...all of the Gulf states should be miles ahead of Israel - thanks to their own trillions of oil revenue. But all of these countries are self evidently behind Israel in these areas and most others.

It's a little more than ironic that Osama plots to attack the West using technology his countrymen can't produce.
