Does anyone know of some good ambient artists? To give you an idea of what im looking for, I like John Serrie, Jon hopkins, Steve Roach, Chuck Wild..... Thanks
I'm going to kill myself. I've had Paul van Dyk - Crush from his Reflections album playing on repeat for the last 4 days. I can't stop listening to it, I'm going to play it backwards because there has to be some subliminal message that's making me addicted. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I tend to be a bit old skool in my music tastes, although a few ones do get into the mix recently. Artists worth checking out as all was is: The Orb/Orbital Deep Dish Armand Van Helden Sven Vath/DJ Producer Leftfield I'm still looking for: Fierce Ruling Diva - Rubb it In (original) And anything going Altern8 (I know, old but who cares, they still kick when played) As for DJ Mixes worth watching out for: checkout the Subliminal Sessions volumes when you get the chance, Notibly Erick Morillo. For those of you that want to checkout some sounds from online, why not checkout www.religionuk.com (A club website, although some will call it a shrine)
I've never been able to really stomach Trance. I'm still stuck in the 90s. I like Plain ol techno. Artists like Octave one, Suidio 1, Ben Simms, Kevin Saunderson, etc.
i make some groovy ambeint techno. allthou i cant figure out where or how to post it on the interweb. my album is call crazyshit by Mars22.
The Destination Goa Collection are greate, althou there is a chage in style/beat in the later chapters i dont like
You are right (just checked) I thought they might have altered the name in mid swing. I know Orbital is actually named after the the London "Orbital" road system that deals with most of the traffic going "around" the City. I stand corrected, however both released worth albums to appear in a persons collection (You lucky guy Tristan)
Tristan, I've only heard Steve Roach out of that list (Fall of the Moai being my fav) and judging by his style I would recommend this site: http://www.eve-online.com/download/music/ Strider knows what it is Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I did as well. Had it running in the background whenever I was doing college work *shifty eyes* Here's another artist you may like. One of my favourite artists: http://www.kmmproductions.com/music.html I'm a bit partial to some of the Invader Zim tracks but I'm bias.
omg, eve online IS addictive... a nice place i found to find free-but-legit trance and techno of all kinds is www.thedjlist.com. Some recent favorites (think they're all in the trance section of the DJ mixes tab): DJ Ampz: wemf 2005 demo DJ Turbine: Ready, Takeoff DJ Redstar: Aura Sessions (pt 1 and 2) That DJ ampz track has a nirvana "Smells like teen spirit" speed-mix in it (toward the end of the track, so freakin insane, i love it)
www.download.com music section techno section check out what they got...everything is of fine specimen there....
I personally think the most adrenaline pumping songs I've ever heard are... "24" by Jem (hear it in the Ultraviolet trailer, truly the definition of adrenaline pumping imo Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!) "Ready, Steady, Go" by Paul Oakenfold "Supermoves" by Overseer "Clubbed to Death" by Rob Dougan "I'm not Driving Anymore" by Rob Dougan "Furious Angel" by Rob Dougan "Lost in Space theme" by Apollo 440 "Prime Audio Soup" by Meat Beat Manifesto Oh and of course The Matrix lobby scene shoot out song (not sure of the name on that one....) Here I'll provide a few links to some of these songs.... (Site has the option to stream or d/l Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!) "24" "Ready, Steady, Go" "Supermoves" "Prime Audio Soup" "Clubbed to Death"
hey, dj turbine also sent a thankyou to me personally, kinda wierd how he'd suddenly find my mention of him... too bad he didn't stick around. i like Jem now, i need to buy an album, if only just for 24.
Stryder: How awesome is the Dr.Who theme song remix by Orbital? Come on, admit it... you love it... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
