    The Future of the Internet?

This isn't particularly relevant to the future of the net in terms of bandwidth, but it is relevant to the future of the net: http://www.spectrum.ieee.org/aug05/1700

    Your web browser?

I use Firefox of course. I'm on Linux, but wouldn't use IE if I were on Windows. I use Konqueror too, but not for web browsing. From time to time I'll use elinks as well, if X isn't running for example. That's a pretty big assumption. I can crack it.

    Do we have souls?

You people seem to be referring to the "spirit," rather than the soul. The soul would be the "essense" of who you are. The spirit is the mythical energy that's supposed to carry the soul beyond death.

    Paranormal Poll

Not all of those are paranormal, and a few of them are very "fuzzy"/unclear terms which could be considered paranormal, but also could be otherwise. You probably should have also pointed out that paranormal is not the same as supernatural (which is by definition impossible).

Yahoo Fights Back in the E-MAIl War

That's only half true. The rumors about a Google browser were due to Google being in talks with Mozilla. But what happened is they hired their lead Firefox developer, Ben Goodgers, who spends half his time working on Firefox, and the rest on side projects at Google. He's pretty much doing the...

Yahoo Fights Back in the E-MAIl War

You're probably already using it: Firefox. As for an IM service... again, nothing more than rumor. Not likely to happen. They get their revenue from advertisements. But if they do charge for a service, it will likely be a good one, and with good reason. Really, you can't have a motto like...

Proof of the Origin of Universe

You can't prove something that's incoherent. The Universe is all of existance. There can be no external forces. If such forces existed, they'd be part of the Universe by definition. How is C & D a subset of B? Also, the first law of thermodynamics only applies to a closed system, which the...

A major internet problem I'm having

Here's another vote for Firefox. You should never use IE unless absolutely necessary.

    Gmail anyone

They're keeping it in beta so they have more freedom to do what they want. You're probably right, but look at the number that site alone has distributed. Other sites have given away thousands as well. I think Google is just making sure there's enough invites for people who may want them.

    Ie

If you want to fix IE, reinstalling it should fix it. Make sure you did it right. This should help: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=318378 Also, try running Ad-aware & Spybot in safe mode. I'd suggest removing Real completely. It's spyware anyway. If you must play Real files...

    i need mp3s

What kind of mp3s are you looking for? There's plenty on the web. You can get free ones through irate. If you want songs you'd get off a cd in a store, you're better off with a P2P app like DC++

Erm, did you read any of my posts? *Looks up* "3 posts". Ya think? You probably can if you're running Windows. *Points at gif & jpeg buffer overflow exploits*

    higher dimensions

Yeah, that's the explanation for the reason we don't see these other dimensions. They're supposed to be so small that atoms and even light can't go there. Greedy? LOL. The number is dictated by the math of the theory. It has nothing to do with greed. I know time isn't curled. I was think of the...

    higher dimensions

6 actually. That 7th one is time. Actually, string theory has been around for decades now. Er, no. Depending on your definition of god. If by god you mean "a being worthy of worship", then to you, perhaps, but not to me. But technically God is defined as the creator of the universe, so no.
