You'll have to be more specific.

Buy a history of philosophy book containing Hobbes. I recommend "Jones'" for an introduction. You can't sum the work of a philosopher in a couple of lines in forum. Also it's impossible to know what you concider "of value".

Thomas Hobbes was one of the modern fathers of the empirism. He thought that ideas of mind come from experience anticipating other empirists like John Locke or David Hume who causes deep influences on the filosofy and science.
From a political view, he purposed the social contract theory wich, oppossitely to Locke and Jean Jaques Rousseau, said that citizens give a part of their liberty to the king who administrates society.
