How are the questions redundant if you've never answered them?

I think the differences you feign concern about have practically been addressed. And I think it's ridiculous to expect people to speak to every single scenario you come up with in your free time to try to "justify" a position you are demonstrably incapable of making any argument in favor of. Trying to find or compile a list of exceptions proves nothing. There are exceptions to every moral, every law.

The difference is merely in the medium. If authors don't care about used books why do they care about e-books? You see the alternative is to make them cheap enough to be accessible to all, which with the highly diverse market available is really the best option. If they are unwilling to charge a rate that is commensurate with their efforts, they cry piracy. Everyone has to buy the original music, book etc, before they are able to share. So why is the internet a special case?

So do you think the internet should not be a freely accessible resource, then? Do you support having different nodes of access, so that limited information can be accessed for free? Considering all the people who put stuff online and don't get paid for it? There is a movement currently underway for that; do you support that movement?

The difference for YOU is the medium. The medium makes no difference, morally and legally speaking. It's not about access or how people share, a word that is often an Orwellian synonym for stealing. It's about people having their products — the fruits of their labor — put online and given away without any compensation.

    Again:

    1. Do you think stealing is OK?

    2. Do you think ignoring copyright laws or illegally sharing copyrighted material is OK?

    3. Do you believe in the integrity of intellectual property?

    I don't know.

Do you think it is illegal to loan books? What about loaning CDs?

Do you think buying used books, CDs, DVDs is illegal? (all this is what is generally done without compensation)

Those scenarios have all been addressed in this thread. You have failed to acknowledge that and chosen to continue your same tactic, a decision that makes it fairly obvious you have nothing of interest to add to this debate.

Sam seldom has anything to add to a debate. She/he's an antagonizer and a rabble rouser. Plus he/she supports terrorists, so naturally he/she would support criminal activity.

"It doesnt matter what u say or ask, what matters is whats out there today."

If one subscribes to this logic, then one should ignore all illegality — rape, murder, prostitution, etc. — as it is already "out there" in some form. Singular, with each post you make yourself look more foolish...

I fail to see how those scenarios have been addressed; all you claim is that the acceptability of these media somehow make them exempt while the internet is still considered hallowed ground.

Also, if one considers the internet to be sacrosanct what prevents further restriction of access? Why have free access to the www? Why not limit it further through subscriptions?

This kind of thinking is what deters progress.

The differences between mass "sharing" on the internet and used books and CDs and lending was addressed. Go back a few pages and see. You didn't understand it, remember?

I'm finished with this thread until you and your echo have the guts to answer the three simple questions I've asked, WITHOUT asking questions in return and hurling more chum into the debate's proverbial waters...

So what? You also remain unconvincing, as I've yet to see posit any sort of argument whatsoever...

Well, if we can't agree or make any compromise, then the only thing left to do is to strap dynamite to my body, walk into a schoolhouse here in town and blow up a bunch of unsuspecting kids and teachers.
