A new Oxfam report reveals that just 62 people own as much wealth as the poorer half of the global population. A "broken" economic model underpinned by deregulation, privatization and financial secrecy has seen the wealth of the richest 62 people jump by 44 per cent in five years to $1.76 trillion, even more widening the gap between the rich and poor. http://www.theage.com.au/business/t...alf-the-world-says-oxfam-20160116-gm7h6y.html
Last year, I heard it was the richest 82 people. Either they're concentrating more wealth, faster, or they've started eating one another. Well, there is the third possibility: so much more wealth has been sucked up in a year that the bottom half is even poorer.
Based on what the stock market did last week, it's probably back up to 75. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Anyway, never trust an anti-poverty organization that doesn't seem to be interested in poverty.
