Acid Reflux

    It is thought that drinking a lot of water or other fluid with a meal dilutes the stomach acid, thereby contributing further to the problem. I would also suggest that our bodies are not well able to deal with processed foods, yet so many people rely on them for convenience. I work in a grocery store and I predominantly shop the perimeters, those being produce, meat (poultry and fish also), minimal dairy and frozen fruits and veggies. A very few canned things like tomatoes for cooking sauces and beans for a fast meal. Oh yes, one gluten free cereal for when I am too tired to cook and 'people kibble' will suffice.

    The worst for me is a cheese and pickle sandwich just prior to going to bed - never have pickle late or the reflux will be real foul tasting stuff.
    Strange that apple cider vinegar is good. But the theory of a mild acid inhibiting the production of the strong acid could be right.
