The year was 2418. Long before vestuonculars and midionite teleportation became an everyday part of life. I was a boy then. I couldn't have been more than 12 years old galaxian time. They tell me way back during the time of the ancients, 12 years galaxian time would have equated to 2 years of age. I don't understand the difference or the reasons or why the time shifted as it did, nor do I want to, but I do know that's when I discovered the scent of vinegar. My father was an old relic collector. I made the mistake of opening one of the jars in his collection.

The jar said "welcome to my ignore list".

My father taught me about collecting relics. It was his passion. Now, we don't use vinegar, but it's still available. The jar was dirty and covered up with other finds, most of which were floral things like perfumes. The bottles looked similar, and nosey me felt the need to test the scents. My favorites turned out to be frankensense and myrrh. My least favorite was ... You may have guessed it. It was the vinegar.
