I didn't say the Indians gave it away.
It was taken, stolen if you prefer, as the spoils of war.

What country are you from, if you don't mind me asking?
I am from the UK, but with an Irish ethnic background.
I am no fan of British Colonialism.

sorry i am not that good in english.
British Crown had nothing to do with India, they just provided their armed forces to that company.

    i am from india.
i have nothing against any country, not blaming any country.
I am trying my best here so that people should know truth.
Here in india it is taught UK ruled india, but it was not the case. The East India Company ruled India. It had nothing to do with British royals, though it manipulated them.

    yes, you are right.
here almost all indians don't know their own history.
English people should know too, their people never supported enslavement of any country.

alexander's army had poor warfare system. the wall of mad elephants, could crush any one.
the king porus is Purushottam, who ruled present day punjab.
the Nandas of the neaqrby kingdom had 6000 war elephants.
Chandragupta Maurya had more than 9000 war elephants.

if Alexander had won battle with Purushottam, then he had to fight with Nandas who were far more powerful then minor king Purushottam, Alexander would not have come back alive.
